This radio is so well thought out. Nano module is badass. This $129 radio basically destroys everything in the surface market making them all seem 12 years obsolete

I'm with you Ian, as a current quad pilot who has raced cars in the distant past it has everything I would want in a ground radio and at one point I did go looking for an ELRS ground radio, didn't find one, and thought "huh, why hasn't someone made one yet?" GJ Radiomaster, you might have pushed me in the direction of getting back into car racing....

Last year I started modifying my Traxxas Sampede4x4, for fpv. But not having the servo channels I wanted, flying quads with ELRS just keeps more of my attention. Now I'm feeling that motivation to play around with the Traxxas Mod again.

Amazing radio. This will change the whole game. At the moment I’m using the Radiolink Rc8x with external elrs module. It has color touch screen and the ability to connect crsf signal from external modules. The color screen can also be used for fpv video input. But it doesn’t have internal elrs and edge tx. I guess I can’t compare the two since the Radiolink costs more than double. I’m sure radiomaster will come out with a v2 of this with same color touchscreen as the tx16s. That will make dealing with edgetx much easier and it will def look amazing.

I recently got a few cars for first time since the 90s and wanted something good for my two 8s Outcasts and Granite BLX. I quickly figured out most people use radios without a digital interface and most use a different radio for every car which seems absurd coming from RC helicopters, planes and quadcopters. The latency and range were also pretty bad compared to ELRS. Found a few guys who even converted their Zorro to a pistol grip style radio so its absolutely no surprise this came out and it will definitely become an industry standard.

Just ordered it. Planning to get the ER5C receiver so that I can attach an extra servo that I can control with that joycon and place an analog FPV camera on top of that servo. I feel sorry for the traditional surface radio manufacturers. Never enjoyed RC cars because of the limited range. Now I’m going to have a blast.

For those of us that are new to the ELRS and EdgeTX, there are a number of questions. First, can I use all ELRS RXs with this system? Second, can I bind 2 RXs at the same time? Third, can the trim switches be configured as operational switches for the channels? Last, what specific RX are compatible with 4-n-1? Also, the expansion module is great, but three position switches would have been better. Also, another module with two more pots would be great as well. Thanks for the great video!!!

I suspect the initial buyers of this radio are going to be people who currently use RadioMaster and EdgeTX radios in the air. It will likely take more time to gain traction with the diehard ground hobbyists. That said, this makes me very excited for subsequent more premium versions of this radio.

I just want a ground based controller specifically made for DIY stuff that comes with something like a 12 channel receiver. I know there is basically a way to make that work already but it seems overly complicated. With 12 channels I'd expect many of them to come laid out kind of like how aircraft controllers are. Switches all over. The EdgeTX complexity required Radiomaster have a large interface where basically the whole top surface area is screen and menu buttons. So for example I would just find it cool to have a wheel controller where there's still the same handy buttons in useful locations, but also a nice array of switches in a row on top. 3 position toggles, potentiometers, momentaries, maybe even some more interlocked special button or one which has a flip up cover etc. If I wanted to make a car that had a robot arm for grabbing trash and putting it into a container I feel like it would still be difficult to control even with the MT12. That aside they did an amazing job on covering what most people already wanted.

This radio is great. I just got one. Haven't hooked it to truck yet. I have a redcat shredder that i was going to use it with. I also just ordered arrma fireteam that i plan on using it with. I did get spare receiver so i can use with both 😁 i also have a Boxer for my drones so i am familiar with the system. Same deal. What i did was, i put a dab of oil on screen to help hold that screen protector they sent with it. It did not stick. I shouldn't have done that. The next day i had a bubble on screen. It did move some when i left radio on side. Idk. It is not visible when backlight is off ☹️ very bummed about it. I did just order new screen but I'm sure if i take it apart i can just clean it. But after just watching you get to screen i think i will just leave it 🤣 what a pain to get that screen out. Just 1 drop of synthetic oil 🤯 must have gone in edge. In-between inner and outer screen or something ☹️ was only $12 with shipping for new screen. Could have gotten whole top assembly with buttons for $25. Thanks for great video. I am thinking of doing similar with the arrma fireteam 😉 03 air unit. 😁 Camera on servis eah? 🤔😁😉 Good for crossing roads n whatnot 🤣

Yes the bottom switch on the back of the remote or the one under the wheel could easily be an arming one.

I just purchased the Radiomaster MT12 surface radio. I’m trying to create a “launch control” function (for drag racing). I need to be able to adjust throttle percentage and the time it takes to clear that range, i.e. 0-30% throttle in .5 second. I would like to be able to create multiple stages like this, i.e. 0-30% in .5sec, 30-45% in .2sec, etc. I would like to have multiple stages (at least 8 possibly more). I would like to be able to toggle the stages off and on the fly i.e 2 stage launch or 8 stage launch or any option in between. I would also be looking to adjust the throttle percentage and stage time on the fly i.e. 0-30% in .5sec to 0-35% in .45sec on the fly. For ease of use I would like the maximum level of the previous stage to control the minimum level of the next stage, i.e. a 5% increase in stage 1 from 0-30% to 0-35% would make the minimum of stage 2 go from 30-45% to 35-45%. I got this radio because I love to tinker. I’m totally new to edgeTX but I’m excited to figure out how to utilize the software. I am not looking for someone to do all the hard work for me, just point me in the right direction. This would be like the seed control function in the Futaba 7PXR TIA

Hi Mads. I was wondering if you can help me. I’m trying to add a headtracker to my Mt12 through sbus. Do you know how I can get the serial port configured to sbus trainer? On my Taranis and Tx16s the option is on the hardware page. But on the Mt12 hardware page, the only options for serial are Cli and telemetry. Can you please help me with this. Also, since you opened up the radio, is there a place on the main board to install the little bluetooth para module? That would make wireless headtracker and trainer so much easier. Thank You

Hi there, I'm on my way to do the same thing... Did you ever figure it out? I'm thinking to replace the "joystick" with a Nano-sense (as a receiver from the Nano sens in the googles) then connect the joystick-inputs to the Nano... If that's not an option, maybe use the DSC-port connected to the receiving Nano...

I think everyone is missing the point with this radio. They keep banging on about ELRS. For FPV/RC Plane/Heli users with say an occasional WLToys, HBX car etc with poor quality remotes, the 4-in-1 module can be used with all your existing cars to considerably improve the driving experience via dual rates on throttle & steering, expo, audible warnings that EdgeTX/OpenTX provides. Without the need to replace receivers, ESC's etc that come in these low end cars. ELRS is not really required for normal RC car use. It's nice but not the reason I ordered one. So I went 4-in-1.
@nickvledder Жыл бұрын
ELRS will take over, rc cars, boats, planes, helis, etc.
