The most interesting thing about Madrid river. Where the park is now. It is that 15 year ago was a 5 way motorway in both sides. The made in 4 years a huge construction plan and a lot of tunels. So what you see in the video, below there are on of the most driver road in Madrid. The M-30. Check in Google how was before. The made a new area in Madrid with that construction.

This whole park was once a noisy and dirty highway... which still exists, but runs underground thanks very expensive tunnels longer than 40 km. The project to convert that big highway into gardens had a cost of 4.000 million €.

Another gorgeous walk, and so nice to have the opportunity to see a reasonably newly planted out park. Given 20 years, most of those trees will reach their full height. The quality of light in Madrid is similar to the light here in Sydney in that it is a great deal brighter than in the UK. Really enjoyed this gorgeous walk thank you WW :)

I’ve been to all the major cities in the world in all five continents and because of its friendly courteous and giving people Madrid is my favorite! The best park is Maria Luisa in Sevilla and in second place is el retiro
