Loving Booknook G! I adore Emma Restall-Orr. I've met her a couple of times (over 20 plus years ago now!) and I remember them clear as day - what a magnetic being!

This was lovely, thank you! I thoroughly appreciate you sharing what YOU felt while reading the Wilde Grove; many times, people will just share books they bought but haven't yet read, and, I'll be honest, I find that annoying LOL (yes, I'm a grumpy old crone sometimes). My own spiritual path is an eclectic broad-ranging one that I could never put it in a 'box' -- Goddess has definitely come to me in many of Her guises. I will get the first book in the Wilde Grove series in Kindle first because that's such a nominal monetary investment, but from the way you describe it, I can see I will likely end up with the full series in hard copy (because, other than a quick gander at a book on kindle, I prefer to read a physical copy). I adored Emma Restall Orr's book "Wakeful World" -- brilliant philosophical treatise as I recall. At this point in my life after many decades of Wicca, Goddess, witchcraft, etc., I'm more interested in someone's reflections and deep insights rather than practical lessons. I concur with your thoughts on menopause completely; but then, if one is truly nature-based in their spirituality, clinging to the natural phases that have passed is a bit of a disconnect, isn't it? And, yes, some women experience challenging physical symptoms - I did - but I found profound lessons with them. I look forward to another Booknook episode! Blessings!

@@DaraDione I completely agree! I use kindle to 'test the water ' on books too and audible ! Its important to invest in things that feed our souls. I know there are times when we need to challenge the norm but the cost of books is not cheap...I love hearing from those who have walked their path a long time because for me I am inspired by others, I will look to get the book recommendations but I wish I could find them on audible read by the authors how cool would that be ! These books are so deep aren't they and so amazing. I've read the first 3 books as well, but I find them hard to read sometimes as so much going on and lately my brain has needed softer books. There is also a series she has written about Selena and her story. I've not read those either, but one day I'll get back to them. Looking forward to more of these book nooks :)

The Salena Wilde books are written in a different style that make for an easy read. Authors need breaks too and to have fun flexing different abilities 😊 I love both series equally, but I'm biased. Full disclosure: Valerie Snyder Genet

Audible pays authors around 65 cents which is then split with the narrator. It's priced much lower than other books outside of audible on Katherine's website to make it as close to a win win for everyone as possible.
