I did a test for BW Battle cruisers vs SC2 Battle cruisers, BW ones won decisively because they do very high burst damage per shot while having huge armor of their own to the point that SC2 BC only do 3 damage per shot even with high fire rate. BW BC also melt corruptors because of its high burst damage per shot while SC2 BC struggle to do the same. However, SC2 BC does have advantages of its own, it does more dps against ground units because most ground units have low armor and it also shoots while moving. It has no energy so it can't be feedbacked like SC2 counterparts. And of course tactical jump.

Think some of the commentary about SC1 races to early pressure is on point, especially on some of the more massive maps. I've watched alot of this so will be very interested to see what happens in the tournament. Think things would be vastly different if you started out with # of Sc1 workers instead of SC2 though in terms of balance/the ability of BW1 races to early pressure. It was actually the first thing i noticed when i started watching alot of this. BW1 races early pressure is sort of reliant on low eco(or threatening to keep it there), and SC2 races in general have alot of earlier mobility to make the harassment more viable throughout the game than BW1.

i like how they say "both races and players had equal opportunities" but every fight is won in first seconds by storms and zerg cant do anything with that (except mass ultras but they got killed)

I think they tried balancing the economy by having the workers move quicker, but I don’t think that’s the best way to do it. The BW player should instead have better production, meaning quicker build times on their units (higher resource/second )

protoss won. I am joking. I don't know yet. But it's protoss. He's gotta win. I forgot that Dark Templars have blink now in SC2. Wow. Funny that SC2 terran has his own Recall to any point of the map with Battlecruisers. So many new interesting things since Wings of Liberty.
