This is the most original Trinidad music I’ve ever heard, the reason why I say this , popular music is influenced by time and era , this song has no outside influences, it’s raw Trinidad, the lyrics the accent and tempo of the music, growing up I’ve always heard about the great Maestro, and what he meant to his generation of fans, now I know

I grew up in Moruga and Maestro holds a proud spot in my heart. He went way too early. As an artist he came out of nowhere with a brand all his own and the music was always sweet. For someone with such a prolific stature in Calypso with giants like Sparrow and Kitch, his singing career was way too short. Every year I looked forward to his music until I was crushed by news of his accidental passing. Awww, Maestro, I never got over your music. Never once!

Fantastic music from the greatest Calypsonian ever (second only to lord Kitchener ). Who knows what the ranking would have been had Maestro lived a full life. Complete Calypsonian in the true sense of the word; he wrote all his song and contributed significantly to all arrangements as well. Absolutely amazing! R.I.P. Maestro
