In this video we will see the ball and spin system #sistemabolayefecto #bolayefecto. A very important system to play the caroms of #cajones or #cabanas in three cushion billiards, and that we can also use as a complement or to cross-check the #sistemaslkl
We will start this video by introducing the base paths of the ball and spin system. These paths are also key in the halves system, perhaps most of you already know them, but they are worth remembering, especially those that come from the short cushion.
The ball and spin system has three main chapters:
Chapter 1: Ball 1 and 2 facing each other.
Chapter 2: Ball 1 and 2 tilted.
Chapter 3: Projections.
Let's see the system when balls 1 and 2 are facing each other.
The ball and spin system allows us to perform caroms like the one shown in the image, a very common position in three cushion billiards that we must master and play safely.
This system allows us to select the effect and the ball hit to use from a list of possible combinations. Having this possibility is very important for the positional game (performing series), since we can vary the amount of ball to take and thus place ball 2 in a fertile area that facilitates the next carom.
Balls 1 and 2 are considered facing each other when the tangent line inside balls 1 and 2, a black line, is parallel to the short cushion.
The numbering of the first band corresponds to the BASE paths (green arrow), seen at the beginning of this video
The arrivals in the third rail are projected to the diamond, each half diamond adds 1 point.
Effects 0-3 should be applied in the center of the ball, as shown in the picture.
The ball hit is measured in eighths of a ball, each eighth of a ball adds 1 point.
In the image we have a base value of 2, and an arrival value of 2, these two base values and arrival, add up to a total of 4.
According to the system formula, we must look for a combination of ball hit and effect values that add up to a total of 4.
The main options for ball hit and effect values that add up to a total of 4, are the following:
1 and 3
2 and 2
3 and 1
4 and 0
An important detail is that the BASE value does not necessarily have to coincide with the real attack point on the first rail, as it will vary according to the selected ball hit value.
A flat, horizontal cue should be used, as parallel as possible to the surface of the table.
Follow through stroke is required. It is best to practice it at the gaming table.
