i think for mave's ability to draw you a card, you have to use it in the same turn in which the attack will happen

That is a correct reading of the card. It prevents getting full advantage when Maeve is being removed from the battlefield.

2:37 I don’t think Mackenzie should of drawn when you attacked with Sram, since he goaded the creature on his turn and you attacked with it on your turn. The card draw only happens when the creature goaded by Maeve attacks the same turn it was goaded.

Maeve has to goad the creature during the same turn in which it attacks. Otherwise, the controller won't draw any cards.

A lot of fun commanders in this pod. I love running Xanathar in my Bolas deck, but this almost had me rebuild my Anje deck I used to play that had the same symmetrical discard theme.

Im pretty sure Maeve doesn’t draw a card unless it’s that same turn the creature was goaded.

No. It was a misplay. Mackenzie should've goaded Sram during Andrew's turn.
