@@juansanchez209 depends on what writer you ask honestly. For example, J. M. DeMatteis absolutely adores the character, and he was on the book years before and after his death. The success of the Clone Saga eventually caused major issues for everyone, but I still stand by the idea that his story and initial purpose is absolutely golden. He’s a Peter Parker that, through hardship and circumstance, learned to live and move past his guilt, whereas Peter still drowns in it to this very day

For better or for worse, Peter is defined by his guilt. That’s why he’ll never move past it in the comics; without guilt there can be no Spider-Man (at least no Peter Parker Spider-Man).

I've got the Marvel Legends Ben Reilly unmasked head sculpt that came with the carded Scarlett Spider. I kind of wish they had used the same blue as this one on the Peter Parker version. But I have the 2 versions of the Mafex Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Venom. I haven't picked this guy up. I have per-ordered the Black Suit version. But as a massive Spider-man fan, I still think the Marvel Legends Spider-man v2 is the best. Great review as always.

Yeah it would have been really nice if they went with the general Mark Bagley look where the logos match the comic-shaded blue of the suit. While the figure circumvents this with the proper broad shoulders and build, a lot of Sensational suit art suffers from the torso being too boxy when the logo doesn’t bleed into the rest of the suit

My only other Mafex is Comic Spiderman (comic paint ver.) And his leg constantly falls off,so I'm glad to have a Mafex Spidey that I can play and pose around with mostly no issues

Try Kiki's Joint Fix, it should make the leg stay in better. I had success recently with a KO Mafex 075 with an arm that wouldn't stay in the socket.

I wholeheartedly agree bro Mafex is king right now in terms of making comic book character figures at the moment. They all literally look as if they were plucked straight out of their respective comics. I got two of these and Psylocke in the mail recently and omg, especially Psylocke. it looks EXACTLY like her and I cannot wait for the Cyborg Superman release next year. I would love for them to make an Advanced Suit PS4 Spider-Man, btw you should check out 1000toys Master Chief it is immaculate I love it.

Actually the other Ben Reilly head sculpt in 6 inch is the Vintage card Scarlet Spider Marvel Legends one. He had a repainted Peter Parker head so the hair on the head is blonde

Got mine months ago, also noticed the we got the same issue with the neck part of the unmasked head. The Black Lines are too pale if not lack of the wash at all.

The only line that comes to mind with better articulation is Amazing Yamaguchi, but there you get a lot of compromises in the overall silhouette of the figure which a lot of people are (understandably) not down with. I agree with you that this Ben Reilly is AWESOME. As far as villains, as much as I would love a Mafex Goblin (any version), what i would really, REALLY love is a Mafex Kraven.

Bro this by far out of the package is my favorite Spider-Man figure period. The quality of the joints and plastic are so much better than the original comic version. I've always loved the Sensational Era of Spider-Man and Ben is a long time favorite. I am so hoping for Scarlet Spidey with soft goods from Mafex but for now this has me more than pleased. Man I really hope they make a comic-paint variant of this figure. The Sensational suit is at its best when the logos are colored to correctly match the secondary blue/black of the suit with proper highlights throughout. Also, while I know Mafex is focusing more on the 90s stuff, I would really love a proper Beyond Ben Reilly figure! My Mafex KO Spidey custom just isn’t enough lol

i know its 2 years too late and you wont read this, but the head is diferente, the ben reily mask is tug closer to the face near the nose,and the head shape is rounder you can notice this on the top of the head and base of the neck,his chin is also more pronouced then peter. its only the lenses and web pattern that are the same, so they actually bothered to make a new mold. but i agree the second head at least should been another artist lenses interpretation.

Great balance of Sculpt and Articulation that does not look ugly when you break it unlike Legends. Dont care for the Clone saga so Im skipping this, but hope that the Black Suit spiderman is just as good.

I couldn't see Mafex doing something gimmicky like a 2 and 1 with the Spider-Carnage. Not saying it's not awesome to get that sort of thing, but I always think of inexpensive retail figures when it comes to that kinda bonus. Since it didn't come with any new masked heads, I would've pre-ordered if we got some new web effects instead. Like how black suit Spidey is getting a little ridiculous web bookbag, but actually something cool like an actual web (i.e. that One:12 movie version).
