Thanks for another video review before everyone else. Ordered a second one a few days ago when I knew it was releasing this month. Will see if I can put the helmeted battle damaged head from the first Mafex Robocop figure on to this.

Thanks for checking it out. The head sculpt for this is so good I would never not use it in favor of the masked head. You’ll see once yours arrives.

@@KaijuDaddyJapan That's why I got two. But I am glad that the Peter Weller likeness is better than in the promo pics, where he looked more like Robert Burke from Robocop 3. Plan on doing a similar thing with both T2 Arnolds; give him the bullet ridden jacket and damaged head from the battle damaged version, but give him the full arms, bandolier and grenade launcher from the regular one, to mimic the scene at Cyberdyne where he takes on the SWAT team.

@@KaijuDaddyJapan Their T1 Arnold is already an incredible fig, would like a punk clothed version as well. That incoming Endoskeleton fig though! 😱 Would love a soft goods trench coat wearing Reese from the Technoir scene and a tactical Sarah, when she tries to assassinate Dyson.

Depends. If you have to choose between that one and another (say the T-800 Battle Damaged), get the T-800. The one you got is much better than the newer release so you’re not really missing much other than the color change and the detached torso

The visor head normally goes with a removable lower mouth piece. If you’re just talking about a head swap, the colors are different from the older release.

Space Battleship Yamato is the greatest! Always happy to hear from a fellow collector. Your best bet, if you’re looking for models is Jungle Mecha or Yodobashi Akiba. Both are in Akihabara. Mandarake Ikebukuro and Akihabara have a good selection although there’s always a gem here and there at the Shibuya location as well. Amazon.jp has a good amount of stuff you might be able to buy that isn’t available in shops. You’d probably need to be there (hotel) at least a week and inform them you’ll be receiving a few packages while there. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem for most hotels.

It's so nice to see it thriving toy industry. In this country it is dead. There's some but it's mainly just Walmart and Target and lot of the same crap. The uniqueness and cleanliness of the stores in variety is incredible. I noticed that you said in some stores items might be cheaper or more expensive. That's why I plan on shopping around.

I understand people wanting the helmet but I also understand why it’s not there. It represents Murphy at the end of the film when he didn’t have his helmet so they were going for that look. Hiya Toys is releasing a 1/12 scale Robocop figure soon. Will you be picking that up?

Absolutely! This figure came out phenomenally. Perfect! As you said, now that Robocop 2 set with the battle damaged torso just jumped up to one of my most anticipated figures still to come out. Can’t wait!

The retail on this is $64. Hot Toys has this for $375. Different figures with different standards of quality. No knock on NECA but it ain’t Mafex.

@@KaijuDaddyJapan I will agree. The detail and sculpt and paint are very high quality. I actually might get this one. Mafex has been killin lately with all their marvel releases. I need them to release those Batman hush again also. I love me some mezco mafex.
