My only complaints about this game are: People from New Orleans either have a mild or heavy New Orleans accent. Most of the time it's heavy. Second thing the missions were a little repetitive but they always were fun and challenging. Otherwise this game was a fucking gold mine of awesome

Mafia 3 is a pretty good game in my opinion. 8/10 for me. The hate comes from PC getting pissed off after they announced the frame cap just before release. After that PC waited for release, and when they got to review it early for some reason, they all went in and gave negative reviews when they didn't even know what they were talking about.

Henry Johnston We are rare :) I don't know who else is pleasured by this. But don't buy it as there are no affects to the (dead) body when you shoot it such as bullet wound or ragdoll affects. Very dissapointed. Max payne 3 is amazing as well as Gta 4. Gta 5 a bit more disappointing but red dead, battlefield bad company 2, and even all the black ops series made by treyarch adds that small detail which makes such a big difference. Never enjoyed mw series by infinity ward and battlefield games became a huge turn -off for me because of the preset animations. Its so lazy and really shows what creators put effort or have the slightest idea of realism. It's so pathetic ive never come across anybody who is bugged by this as well and its so sad because nobody understands. Stupid fucking kids and money-hoaring lazy motherfuckers who took a community college class in video gaming

And let's talk about AI shall we? It's another thing people are complaining about, but I don't really understand why. I think the AI in this game is actually pretty good. -They come after you hide behind something too long. -Sometimes they could do decent amounts of damage. -And they take cover like any other AI would. Also, people complain about the missions being repetitive but I don't see how they couldn't be. Plus, it's the pocket missions that are mostly alike but you don't even have to do those. Those are just two other things I don't think people should complain about.

They're basically the same game, but in different time periods. A big open world, divided into districts. There are story missions you can pursue but at the same time you can do "district activities" to gradually take over that district. All activities leverage existing game mechanics. In ACS you have child liberation, templar hunts, bounty hunts, etc. In Mafia 3 you have drug boats, robbing orgy, interrogating dealers, killing Jimmy The Jurv etc. Once you clear enough district activities you get a special mission to defeat the district leader. I recently got the platinum trophy for ACS, and it's meh, if you like the settings(victorian era) and assassin's creed in general, go for it, otherwise stick with Mafia 3.

I would say wait till the game is fully patched of all the bugs and glitches and wait for a price drop(if you're a PC gamer, definitely wait for the big Steam sale events like around Thanksgiving and Christmas). The game is great, but the fact that it was released in such a terrible state even worse than Arkham Knight brings it down quite a bit in my opinion.

Something to do with the physics. I'm guessing there is an algorithm that makes a.i interact with objects depending on how they die (i.e if you shoot someone standing at a wall, then a calculation is made to make their death animation sliding down on the wall. Game prob doesn't factor/include animations for people getting tossed by nades or falling down stairs.
