@Apri Koseng Well the writer of Mafia and MAfia 2 was Dan Vavra who left the team midway during the making of Mafia 2. According to him even Mafia 2 made some drastic changes to the story. Originally it was supposed to have 2-3 endings but then they decided to go with the one we got. However, he is still credited as the writer. I;m a big fan of his work and if you liked the story of Mafia 1 and 2, you should definitely check out his game Kingdom Come Deliverance. However, the only thing I didn't like was how bitter and petty he acted when the first MAfia remake was announced.

@UCcx2Gt5Sw5v0mcBIOHFQGxQ you can't blame the guy. how the fuck is he supposed to not act bitter if take two interactive didn't give a single fuck about his own game, bought it, closed down Illusion Softworks which was the first videogame studio he's worked at, since 1998, with a lot of his other projects ending up in the middle of nowhere with no one there to make publicity of them so people get to play the fucking things, how this game, great fucking game, Chameleon, also running on the Mafia series' engine, made by the slovakian hq of Illusion also ended up in the middle of nowhere because of them, and then all that fucking effort him and his team put into these beautiful videogame series was thrown away like it was fucking garbage??? I love Mafia II, I couldn't live without it, and that's the exact same reason why I'm as infuriated as Vávra is. all the fucking things that it could have been and it ended up being less than half of the final product. it wasn't 2-3 endings, they were FOUR. then these 2k fucks sell the game to hangar 13! and wipe their goddamm nasty asses with all of Illusion Softworks' hard fucking work! they stole this poor franchise from developers that truly poured their soul onto their games and cared for them like no other. that remake was a fucking disgrace, the most disgusting and avaricious excuse of a "game" I've seen in my entire life. it's a damn money grab. they just want to milk the Mafia Series as much as possible. maybe that's why Vávra was so angry, because they stole YEARS of his life with an atrocious, half-assed piece of shit "remaster". how would you feel if you worked your ass off for 11 years straight on a single thing only to have it taken away from you and not receive any fucking credit for all your work?? the Mafia series will never be a trilogy. it's always going to be a duology for me. fuck hangar 13, D3T, 2K, take-two interactive, haden blackman, their families and everyone who supports them.

When you listen to this song, you can feel how this game was so legendary, I mean the story was perfect, the characters too, Vito is the most unique, handsome and incredible character I've played, he's like a part in my life, in my childhood. This game saved me from my hard time, I've played it so many time even if I knew the story by heart, I would never forget a game like that, never. A BIG THANKS to the creaters of Mafia 2, really, they don't wanted to just create a game, they wanted to give us a masterpiece, I swear. Please don't forget this game. Мне почти 25. Треть жизни позади. Совсем недавно я прошёл Mafia 2. Впервые для себя. И во время прохождения я ощутил некую меланхоличность и какие-то депрессивные нотки от этой игры, которые, к тому же, подкреплялись невероятным и душераздирающим саундтреком, подчёркивающим всю драматичность и безысходность пути главных героев, да и сюжета в целом. Эта игра меня впечатлила. И вместе с тем она будто бы вскопнула давно глубоко зарытую яму моей души. Во время прохождения я вдруг вспомнил, как когда-то давно, лет 14 назад, будучи ещё мелким мальчуганом, сидел у друга и смотрел, как он проходит на тот момент свеженькую и популярную Mafia 2. И мне резко стало "нехорошо"... Нехорошо от осознания, что то беззаботное и счастливое время... детство... ушло... многое изменилось с тех пор... ушли из жизни родные и близкие люди... да и в остальном теперь не без проблем... много ошибок было совершено... И при прохождении игры я неосознанно прорефлексировал различные моменты той беззаботной жизни, которая была так давно, и которая теперь кажется такой лёгкой... Будто это и вовсе была другая жизнь... После финальных титров я часами гонял этот саундтрек и, в особенности композицию с пианино (которая играет на паузе в меню), просто рыдая, сам не понимая от чего... Эта музыка будто вскрыла наболевшее и дала выплеснуть эмоции, копившиеся годами... Не знаю, что ещё тут добавить да и зачем я вообще это пишу, хех... Респект композиторам и создателям этой невероятной музыки!

Člověk si při poslouchání projede v hlavě celej příběh Mafie 2. Prostě Češi nejsou jen národ pivařů a kutilů, ale i pravých hráčů tělem i duší. Soundtrack vytvořený k Mafii nemá prostě konkurenci, sedí tam jako prdel na hrnec a jiný soundtrack tam nepatří a nikdy patřit nebude. Navždy vám bude hrát pražskej orchestr v hlavě 🥰😍.
