its not exactly a cliffhanger cuz in the niigo area conversation its confirmed that mafuyu is living with kanade (and the sekai when honami visits), but its still super suspenseful. i think it would be interesting if honami found out the truth about mafuyu or maybe found out that kanade and mafuyu have a sekai of their own

This is probably the most emotional story I've ever heard and seen in anime history, let alone that Project Sekai doesn't have an anime of its own. I love how after Mafuyu runs away from her mom, the rain we hear has a mournful tone to it. It's almost as if Sega or whoever wrote the story put it there on purpose, but whether it's on purpose or not, this story is written perfectly. The sound of the heavy rain at the end represents the anger and sadness one goes through thanks to their half-faked and suffocating mother. I would consider this story like a Project Sekai style Mommie Dearest.

Fun fact, japanese names have kanjis in them, like kanade's (kanji's are letters that mean words, so you don't have to spell it out), and parents name their children a word which they want them to be or reminds them of them, but mafuyu's is spelled out and doesn't have any kanji's which is kinda weird Guess her mom was too lazy to give her a meaning
