Instead of interviewing- dan likes to convince his thoughts into his guests. Its ok to have differing opinion but this feels like desparate

Another criticism of "Full Self Driving" is barriers of entry. I believe it is lower than people think. The term "neural net" sounds really cool and futuristic as if only someone like Elon Musk could understand it. But reading up on it, I was surprised to learn that it is old science going back to the 60s. Nothing much new has been added to it. It is more just a case that computing power has finally caught up to the science. A challenge for the traditional automakers will be being able to capture the data from the vehicles like Tesla is able to do. But I know Ford at least is going to get there in the next couple of years with their next gen EVs. Moreover, they are going to migrate that system into all their ICE vehicles. Obviously Ford has the scale. So the data they collect to "train" their vehicles will be massive. Whether they are willing do it in house I'm not sure. But if not, I'm thinking someone like Mobileye will do it for them and give them a good deal where the automakers still own the data.

Gene Munster and other analysts may not be taking the full extent of Elon Musk's personality issue into consideration when making their estimates for Tesla, perhaps because they are not aware of the harshness of how he's hated especially by previous customers here in California. Bloomberg found that 17.8% of respondents said they were less likely to buy a Tesla because of Musk's brand perception. This may have an effect on other Ev companies as well. To me, this suggests that Musk's personality issue could be having a real impact on Tesla's demand. Even if you look at his Twitter purchase and subsiquent loss of users puts a dim in my estimate of Tesla. Interest rates are only half the story.
