I inherited, ( sounds better than rescued from recycling,) several Magnolia magazines and they have the coolest matte finished paper that I am not sure what to do with them. The folded over tall journal has great appeal to me now. Thank you for the inspiration 🙏 ❤️

Great journals and back story on each one. I take people's bodies and animal faces or other crazy things for paper dolls. One of my new dolls has one huge eye for the head. The sillier the better I like them. TFS ideas and tips. 💓🕉️🥰

Great video, Shannon! Thank you. I recently got an Amazon holiday gift guide in the mail and it's awesome to make a junk journal with! The paper is not too thin and it's a wee bit matte. It's bound very neatly, too. I'm loving it. If you hadn't spoken so much about doing things like this with magazines, I doubt I would have ever seen the possibilities. I'd have just thrown it out. I love seeing your JUNK journals, my very first junk journal (didn't know it had a name) was back in 1990, it was sales flyers, bills, envelopes, etc with 2 holes stabbed into the 'spine' and tied together with yarn. No paint, ink or fancy markers because I didn't have any. I filled that journal with all the stuff that goes with a first pregnancy AND learning about his birth defects. It was lost in a tornado, but I still make my journals with actual junk, love them.
