MAGDEBURG: “There are three theories ...” This could be behind the Christmas market death drive
In an interview with WELT Investigative Director Tim Röhn, new details emerge about Taleb A., the Magdeburg attacker. A court ruling from 2014 proves that A. had already threatened to carry out an attack along the lines of the Boston Marathon. Nevertheless, he remained unchallenged and was later able to work as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric hospital. Security authorities had checked him shortly before the attack, but saw no reason to intervene. Röhn speaks of a possible state failure, as numerous warning signals were ignored. The political and official failures must now be urgently addressed.
