Thanks for this playthrough, great video as usual! Yesterday I tried my first mines liberation solo (I start playing 1 months ago) and I came short for 4 attack points. If I have gained 1 one fame I level up and get blood rage for the win but it was not the day. It was my first try so I'm very happy for the result, I will try again as soon as possible, this scenario is veeeeery fun

Hey! Great videos you got! It's so fun watching you play mage knight. I used to play solo a lot before I got kids. Now the room I used to sit and play my games are my children's room. So I only play minor games solo. Can you recommend any great smaller solo games? Regards, Tobias

Thanks, Tobias! And great question. I don’t play many games with a small footprint it seems. From games I’ve featured, Under Falling Skies probably has the smallest table presence, but even that board stretches out fairly long. Space Hulk: Death Angel is pretty reasonable. And Spirit Island true solo isn’t that bad if you don’t use the side boards and have a place to put the component trays. Every other game on my top 10 needs a lot of real estate unfortunately.

What come to mind for small solo games: Friday, Hostage negotiator, the Exit and the Adventure Games series (if you are into the escape room), most roll-and-writes are also fairly small (again, if you are into that kind of game), Roll Player, some of the Tiny Epic games also have solo, maybe Imperial Settlers / 51st State (though they are bit bigger), Onirim and that entire line of games, Sprawlopolis and its new version...

The last time I did this scenario I used Tovak and I got destroyed! It was very frustrating and I could not recruit at all! Oh well, it was fun! BTW, I did not know you are a Philly guy! I live in Reading area! Great play through!

Thanks, Brian! Yeah - not surprised Tovak is a struggle in Mines Lib. Will Focus, Crystal Joy, and Flight really help Goldyx in this scenario. And awesome about being in Reading! Been in Philly since 2009 and I know the O’s stuff throws people off. 🤣 If we both end up at PAX, we should be sure to have our paths cross.
