The shop prefentially gives you weapons that match tags you already have. So taking 'bad' weapons is a real negative, as you reduce your chances of ever getting the weapons you really want. Unkess you think you can't survive without them, it is better to not take wrong-tag weapons.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of this or not Chris, but you have a degree of control over what weapons the shop shows you by using the tags of the weapons you take. For example, you had a lot of “precise” weapons to go along with your “elemental” tagged weapons in this run, so the shop kept giving you precise tagged weapons that don’t necessarily scale with elemental damage. If you want to focus elemental; only take elemental weapons and nothing else, reroll on wave 2 until you find enough “elemental” tagged weapons to set your tags to a ratio that favors the “elemental”tag you’re looking to stack, and you’ll most likely be offered more powerful elemental weapons sooner in your run. Hope this makes sense😅

Watching him lock the lvl 1 plank for 10 rounds only to pass it up and finish his elemental build with 2 blunderbusses and an smg that he cant scale, and then taking the heart after going all in on burning... was entertaining. I cant say i dont do the same stupid stuff occasionally though.

I'm sure you've probably seen other comments, but the percentage and the symbol after the damage numbers are actually the weapons % scaling with the corresponding damage types. e.g. if it says damage 10 (50% 🔥) it means it does 10 base damage plus half of your elemental damage. some weapons can have multiple scaling damage types and different weapons have a better or worse scaling (usually based on fire rate) on another note, I'm glad to see you enjoying the game , keep up the good work!

There's a lot of great accessibility options in the gameplay menu, where you can even adjust enemy speed, health and damage. You can adjust it down if you're having trouble, or if you think the game is to easy you can make enemies tougher and faster too.

If you look at the stat list on the right hand side of the shop you'll see that there's a little symbol next to each of the stats. Elemental has a little flame next to it. Icicle does +100% Elemental damage, not +100% flame damage. Thank you for figuring out the money left over at the end of the wave thing.

Missing something: With -100% Ranged damage, why did Mr Odd take the normal guns? He also put off Plank (Elemental) because he had them

It isn't -100% ranged damage, but -100% ranged damage mods. So the weapons still do base damage, but can't ever scale up.

Just a quick tip but if you see the coupon in the shop and you are going to buy something it’s better to buy the coupon first so you get the savings on the item you want to buy. Seen you buy something and then the coupon a few times now 👍

From the definitely didn't recommand brotato gang: Take a look at valkyria chronicles (the 2008 one), you are really missing out. And due to art style it still looks good. Amazing story and good gameplay. plenty of tactics, especially a bit later on.

Chip Theory Games, the company that made and produced Too Many Bones, has also been responsible for another great game that can be played solo called Cloudspire, which also has many similarities to computer games. They also just finished a kickstarter campaign for an Elder Scrolls game. Fantastic to hear that you're also a board game fan, Some good Board games that play phenomenaly solo are: Voidfall, Spirit Island, Solo Girl, Star wars Outer Rim and Nemesis.

You should pretty much always take the ghost sceptre- and always combine them when you get new ones. The extra hp over time is a big advantage.

The game has TAGS of what you choose. So you pick up weaponry not slotted to fit your characters strength, then you will keep rolling the wrong weapons that you picked up earlier.

I'm not convinced regen is very good in this game? Let's do some math(s): 10 regen is 1hp/s Wave 11 the basic un-upgraded gun did ~6100 dmg in ~40 seconds?. that is ~150dps. 1% lifesteal would be 1.5hp/s 10 regen but only when standing still has to be a trap. And i do feel like regen is a bit overpriced. I'm curious to see how the masochist run will turn out.
