Can you help me to fix my magene sir delay speed at distance I mean not accurate. Sample ony magene speed only 20km/hr but on my Strava apps already 40km/hr half the result.. And already total of 100km on Strava apps on magene only 50km .

​@@markyalmario7684 There could be a lot of reasons. We are still using Magene till this point in time however we have not encountered such a problem. Are you using speed sensor? Have you check that your the sensor is in speed mode or replace with a new battery? It may be better if you can check with magene themselves.

Thanks for the very complete review of the C406. As of now (Aug, 2020), Amazon shows that you can get with miles as well as kilometers (you must select miles in a drop down menu in the listing when purchasing).

Hi there. I'm not a beginner cyclist. I have used the Garmin Edge 200 and now the Mio Cyclo 305HC. Both are good but has their limitations. e.g the edge 200 does have only the basic functions. The Mio Cyclo has, Cadence, Speed & HR monitors, but don't synchronization with Strava. So I use my phone to do that. And this brings the differences between the two devices when it comes to recording the ride. This brings also a frustration with it... lol 🤣. If you know what I mean @Wiser Biker. But I'm looking for a good affordable GPS bike computer that give me the accuracy and that can load my rides on Strava. It seems that this could be the one. I've seen that a power meter can be also added? Which one could be used. I believe the Magene comes with it's own cadence, speed and HR sensors.. Thanks in advance.

How would you compare this to XOSS? will you say this is a much better bike computer? I have a xoss and im thinking to upgrade. My major unhappiness with the XOSS is it takes long time to sync to gps before you can start recording and the cadence sensor reading at time can be all over the place. Does this Magene have similar issues?

As of yesterday, August 5th, One Lap Fit has stopped working and, more specifically, does not upload a cycling route to its application. Even if you re-upload the data manually, they do not appear. Do you know what could be happening?

Could you tell me how do we let the route/map come up on strava after a workout/training ride specifically. Whenver I create a workout on the app after exporting it on my bike computer. I go out and perform and it gets uploaded on strava, but doesn't show the route/map except for workout details. However, when the ride done off" workout feature it always shows map/route. Could you help me with this

The latest OneLapFit sw/firmware update for my Android Samsung does not seem to allow me to manually change the time zone for my region. The time of day remains 3 hours ahead no matter how I try to fix it. Is this a sw or fw bug or PBKC - problem between keyboard and chair?….;-)

To receive both wheel speed and cadence you need two wireless sensor inputs to bike computer. One sensor can only provide one input parameter. This type of sensor uses a Hall effect magnetometer sensor which knows which way is up versus down…..the earth’s magnetosphere aka horizon. For cadence it functions as a flipping horizon counter. For speed it uses that horizon counter plus basic circle diameter math calc to determine wheel speed.

Magene gives you estimated Watts reading if you do not have power meter. According to Magene it is based on body weight and bike weight.

Calculating your power output without a connected power meter is not expected to be accurate. Wind and downhill slope negate any WAG wild ass guess calcs.

The bike computer have the ability to track speed via GPS however if you want accurate speed reading, it is recommended to get a speed sensor as well :)

Configure C406 to load uploaded data into STRAVA. STRAVA keeps all distance records such that you have the updated odometer value at the end of each ride.

Very large distance numbers may exceed the 16 bit word limitations, I.e., 32767. A bike computer with a 32 bit processor might be your best option.

I am having problem with calculating the distance I travel, the distance recorded by Magene C406 are not accurate, I am still trying to fig out how come my distance traveled is so much different from that of my group, but when I upload in Strava the route draw out is correct but just the actual distance traveled is incorrect, I thought it could be an issue with calculating in miles against KM but when I check, it is not the case, can anyone help me solve this puzzle.

Thank you Lefty, we have used it for almost a year now. The unit is still serving us well :) Unfortunately we can say much about the bike computer. It has an IPX6 rating which can withstand light or moderate rain for long period. If it is heavy then it may only be able to withstand for a short period.

Meilan M1 does look like it has a lot to offer however it is almost 2 to 2.5 times the price of Magene C406. We will definitely be checking them out in the future but currently limited by budget 😅

Sometimes after I start it and find that the Magene is not recording even though I have ridden for 100 to 150 m without recording the distance. The HR and and time elapse is there. I don't know if it is recording or not so I pause it and restart it again. I find that it will drops about 2 to 3 km of my ride.

Hello. I have a Magene c 406 computer. most of my descents are speeds between 65-70 kmh. I also have a speed sensor s3 + but it only records up to 57 kmh then jumps to 0 kmh and back again. When the speed decreases it normalizes. i changed the battery in the s3 + sensor and nothing is better. Is the sensor limited to 57kmh?

My C406 shows speeds much higher, i.e., over 73 km/h so far. You may need to reload exact rim size to include new tire outside diameter.

@@gtranquilla The rim size is set correctly. And the Magene c406 shows the correct speed even over 70 km/h when I use it without a speed sensor. The problem is in the S3+ sensor, which has a limitation. So now ride without the sensor and it's fine. It only occasionally loses signal in the forest. Thanks for the comment.

We can't speak for others but it has been great for us so far. Dihua is still using it as his main driver. We are using Onelapfit as Magene utility is phasing out soon. We are sorry but we are unsure if smart watch's HR is able to pair with the bike computer as we do not own one :(

Hi Alex! As there are 7 parameters that we can put in Magene C406, we realize the available options given for the final parameter was not to our liking(limited customization hence chose clock). We do think it is a nice upgrade not just from what the bike computer offers but the app as well! Hopefully, we can give you guys an after revamp shop tour 😀

That is a manual input parameter error during your setup. Go back to the wheel speed input parameters and adjust for your actual tire make/model.
