Great clean up, Jason. I've done a complete tear down/clean up as you did. I don't have as many hours but do like the GC to look good and running good. Your hard work paid off. She looks dang good. Thanks for the video on the Diff-lock fix. That was interesting to see how you handled that issue. Full-watch and have a fine upcoming week. 👍🏽🙂

Gotta keep that grease from building up; because in combination with dirt and organic debris it acts as an insulator; and can make the machine run hot. Hydrostat transmissions are particularly sensitive to this: as the heat breaks down the oil, you get metal-on-metal contact on the pump and motor pistons and rotary cylinder, and then they leak causing a loss of pressure (and thus power to the wheels). Because we change the hydraulic oil periodically, our machines aren’t as affected by oil breakdown; but on sealed transmissions (like is common on lawn tractors, with the k46 being notorious) it’s a killer. This is actually one of the factors that made me save up the $$$ for my GC1723eb; because I live on a big hill, I fried the k46 in a Deere LA130 before I knew any better.

Yeah, I'm gonna do a better job at that I also believe I've been pumping in too much greese so I'm gonna take that down a notch..Lol. Congratulations on your new purchase I'm sure it'll bring you lots of years of trouble free operation. Thanks for the view and comment!!

Really looking good after the detail. Did you find any leaking hydraulic lines or seals once the dirt/grease/oil was removed? The time-lapse makes a good video even better.
