Yeah seriously how did you capture this? How many mics. Were you using a pickup on the acoustic guitar? Doesn't sound like it
@AngeliqueWolf6 жыл бұрын
yeah! This is mind blowing!
@Shoefiti6 жыл бұрын
It's not the same setup at all, but you can already find some answers out there on the internet, starting with the Sound On Sound article about the Justin Timberlake - Say Something video we were honored to be part of. For this shot, there are about 6/7 lav mics (Maggie, the guitar, the piano, some of the fans who sang really well), a stereo boom mic and a bunch of stereo ambient mics hidden in the different areas of the path Maggie follows. I don't know if this is of any help for you? Afterwards, we mix it all in the studio. The guitar is recorded with one of the lav mics hidden inside so it remains almost invisible. It has a much more natural sound than a pickup. You can see how we put it in the SoS/JT article too.

This video reminded me of a woman’s journey through life, how so many people become like family, you make such meaningful connections and friendships and yet, in quiet moments with yourself it is only your own journey of growth that accompanies you; pains and joys and loves and losses. How we return when we are alone to our own hearts, be they heavy or light. And how people can light us up and carry us, but at the end of the day, it is us and our journey alone. Beautiful, gave me all the feels. I hope this description made sense.

I am in the same boat, going through a tough breakup and this song has made me realize I will be okay after all of the pain
@burgbuilds5 жыл бұрын
Fifafan117 it’s such a cliche but you really gotta find yourself again after being with someone for such a long time. Towards the end of the relationship, one of my closest friends told me that I wasn’t the same happy, goofy person that he’s always known. After a couple months of really trying to figure out who I was before the relationship I met up with him again. Unprompted he told me “it’s glad to see you’re back to your old self :)” it sure does suck but you’ll find yourself again and you’ll be a better more complete person when you find that person who loves you for all the things that the other person didn’t.
@Fifafan1175 жыл бұрын
@@burgbuilds yeah I was in the same boat everyone in my family always told me I seemed so upset/angry always now...how are you doing now? Like in terms of moving forward/happiness after the breakup? Right now I'm still struggling a bit but I think getting better
@burgbuilds5 жыл бұрын
Fifafan117 going on 6 months since the breakup, I’d say I’m happier now than I’ve ever been. After a. Few months I decided to get back out there and try and meet somebody new, that is a huge help. Most importantly though I’ve been focusing on myself a ton especially paying close attention to that negative voice in my head and just realizing that you’re inner thoughts are normally just neurotic self depreciation, (at least in my case) You have to treat those thoughts like a crazy roommate and really think intentionally about what you want for yourself. I don’t really read much but I listened to ‘The Untethered Soul’ audio book. It’s a little hippy dippy but it’s pretty interesting and helped me out a lot. That and ‘Get Your Shit Together’ is another good book. Rooting for you Fifafan117, I know you’ll make it through.
@Fifafan1175 жыл бұрын
