Breath support. No offense, but if you can't converse properly when even walking briskly, likely means you don't have great breath support. The lungs can do a surprisingly lot of work when supported well. She's almost certainly has had some training, though. It also helps that she's not an acrobatic singer. She doesn't add more pressure on her lungs by going with a crazy range. She stays within two octaves (mostly just one) for the most part.
