Thank you for posting. I have always wondered about the Magi and the sign of the star. One day, we will find another written record of this in old Babylon or old Bethlehem. God is sovereign!

Pastor, actually the Magi saw Jesus in Nazareth. He was a toddler when they saw him. There is no way they could have made it to Jerusalem with their entire caravan plus gifts and security, etc to see a baby. Also, when they got there the scriptures don’t mention Joseph. He was likely working. They did not make a 900 mile trip in the short time Jesus was in Bethlehem.

Sorry. You are influenced by the movies. The holy family escaped to Egypt. I assumed the start their trip when mary and the baby was strong enough. Hordos killed the babies less than 2 years old. He waited for the mages about a year. I think jesus was born in the spring. At passover. Why would god be cruel and let mary travel and get birth in Bethlehem in winter? So after almost 10 months they fleet to Egypt at spring also
