I have and it's good. I never said anything about the quality of the meat. They destroy my pompano rigs so, if I'm going to catch a blues, I'm going to do it on the correct tackle.

Bluefish is surprisingly good sushi if you eat it fresh. It is currently my top 3 favorite inshore choices. It is more firm than mackerel, similar to tuna. Small blues can be annoying if you are not using wire or heavy flouro.

Smoked bluefish👍 but I get the bluefish comment. When I was younger and lived in the NE I commercial fished with my father... I will just say, just be glad that the "bluedevils" aren't 10 -15 lbs and eat your Pompano. They were worse then sharks! LOL!
