The music in the beginning after the intro is making me strangely nostalgic. It's the kind of music you'd hear in the beginning of a movie like The Return of Mary Poppins or Dolittle or Paddington. Like you know just from the music that the movie is going to tell a really good story with emotion, magic, comedy, etc.

the Magic Bookstore in the Woods just on the outskirts of Blackpool a bookstore that has been there for many years and is still going strong it carries all sorts of books from magical books, reference books, fiction, & factual books, history books, detective, romance, adventure, science fiction, westerns, humorous books, comic books, and magazines of all types and newspapers from the area and they get customers from all over the countryside and are everyones favorite place to hang out at and they even serve coffee and snacks and have a weekly book club that talk about the latest books, the friendliest employees ever enjoy.

I have been looking forward to volume 3 of Iroh's bookstore for a while and I am sorry to admit, but I still prefer the second volume. May just be I am just too used to that playing in the background nowadays as I have had it playing as I read for so long its difficult o adjust. Though ill give it a few play throughs maybe it will grow on me. In the meantime I am lookin forward to the next volume.

Agree! It’s more intrusive and sort of demands you actively listen rather than just flowing through your mind in a pleasant way. Not overtly, like Sousa marches, of course! 🤣🤣 Very subtly, but I found it distracting me and forcing my mind to focus on the music when, speaking for myself, the purpose is to avoid distractions. Vol 1 had the same effect for different reasons and to a lesser extent. It was a bit TOO quiet so my mind kept listening for what might be coming, somewhat like when you hear a noise late at night and you can’t go back to sleep or read because your mind keeps demanding you listen to see if you hear anything else. IMO, Vol 2 is the Goldilocks of the Bookstore trilogy. Vol 1 is a bit too small, Vol 3 is a bit too big, but Vol 2? Just right!! Enough substance to remove other distractions and smooth enough to flow through the brain on a subconscious level allowing your mind to be calmed and able to focus on whatever task you choose. Or on no task at all so you can meditate.

I heard about this Mari. She has a rather shady business going on in that tea shop of hers. Some say her husband died under very suspicious circumstances and though she insists a foul illness was that took him, you can hear people whisper about how she liked to spice up his morning tea. Didn't feel as good as it tasted.
