Oh, Onigiri you're the one for me!!🥺 This is honestly amazing, I used to spend my free time making Onigiri by hand for my 6 year old brother my last year of high school before I left for the Marine Corps and it would take hours lol but I wanted him to be happy and know that I love him. I left some ingredients behind and my sister who is 3 years younger than me continued making him the Onigiri on Fridays 🥰

For people who watched early Pokemon anime, the protagonists regularly ate onigiri. Due to translation choices, the protagonists didn’t call them onigiri, they called them doughnuts. However, they never changed the onigiri to reflect the changes. ... I was a sad tomato when I realized doughnuts didn’t come in that shape.

Similar to 3- corner kimbap/ 삼각김밥. Although it’s a fresh item, it does keep the dried seaweed from moist rice until you pull a couple of tabs, the package comes away, and you have a simple snack. Clever packaging and good too, as long as you can figure out what’s in them. I had a painfully spicy one when I couldn’t read Korean. 🌶 I think you can buy just the packaging to make your own.

Hey Emmy, since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, be careful of Betterhelp. They're really shady. Some counselors are fine, but as a service, they're really questionable. For example, their Terms of service state that BetterHelp doesn't guarantee that their employees are real therapists. Another one is that they get paid by the amount of words they type - so their is a lot of churning that happens and you don't really feel listened to. They also keep and sell confidential data: they track demographics, mouse movements and other "personal info" - this would not fly in face to face counselling. The most dodgy thing though is that they advertise as being a cheaper alternative to therapy, but then in the disclaimer state that the service is not a replacement for actual therapy....

Emmy! I have the BEST recipe I found online for blueberry muffins recommended to me by a friend! I made it yesterday and oh my gosh it’s soooo good! And easy!!! I do recommend you sift raw sugar on top instead of the crumble or do half the batch with it and half without. I made it in a rectangular cake pan but you can also of course do it in a traditional muffin pan! 🧁

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only who misses the 7-11 onigiri's. Its one of my first stops too when I go back to Taiwan

There's a little shop in Amsterdam (I'm from the Netherlands) called Onigiri-ya that sells DELICIOUS handmade onigiri and whenever I have the chance to go I always buy one or two. They're somewhat pricey there but sooo yummy.

I'm pretty sure that one has bamboo shoots in it. It looks like chirashi zushi, which my grandmother used to make all the time

I’ve been to Japan a couple times and rice balls and bottled green tea from drink machines are the best. Also Ramen. I miss it.

When I see rice balls or onigiri in anime it always looks delicious, probably because I love rice like more than any other food! 😋😋 I wanna try making some

Me even tho I don't live in Japan or even close to a shop that sells the famous snack: *"Onigiri is life, Onigiri is my soul"* *while the sound and melody of the Koto and Shamisen intensifies*
