in the high end cameras, magic lantern provides raw video and HDR options. so you can buy an old camera cheap and get modern features.

Magic Lantern is glorious, I also have a t3i but have noticed just recently that the magic lantern "temperature" sky rockets and it stops recording... Not sure why this is happening so I just went back to stock, after seeing this video I will have to double check my camera Canon firmware and check if it's 102 or 103.

afaik Canon actively patched their firmware to block magic lantern. at least they did so for SL2 ( 200D )

Why do they care??

@@pyguy9915 beats me, the firmware fixed nothing else but some bootloader vulnerabilitty, if i remember correctly. the changelog was very vague, but people confirmed it was no longer working.

If the firmware is already at version 1.0.3 can it be downgraded to 1.0.2?
