Fantastic demo, I have the magic mat for my manual and electric die cutting machines. Best investment, highly recommend for those intricate dies.

I’ve been struggling with Temu does not cutting in my Cuttlebug. Your demo will be super useful, tyvm! If you could do a demo of sandwich combos for Temu dies, that’d be extremely appreciated ❤ I bought the metal plate from Temu but it didn’t help as much it seems. Might need the magic mat. Temu sells those too but don’t know how good they are. thank you!!

Unfortunately I don't own Temu dies. But it sounds like they may be extra thin like the sizzix thinlets. Try a thick cardstock under the metal plate to see if it helps.

My Cuttlebug is probably 15 years old. The end pops off almost every time I use it! I recently bought a Sizzix Switch and am able to use my Cuttlebug plates in it!

You have a lot of patience cause I gave up after about hour and 10 shims. And that's with the Magic Mat.

I bought a vegetable cutting mats from the dollar shop. I got 4 mats and each one gives me four cutting mats. I take this mat and put it on plate a but not all the way up. I then put my fabric and die and put the other cutting plate on the top. I cuts like magic and I do not have damage on the cutting plat at all. I hope I am clear enough.

When you said super tight, does it feel like the handles were going to break feeling?

No. If the handle feels it might break then the sandwich is too thick. As you turn the handle you should feel the sandwich as snug but the handle still turns.

I use a Sizzix Die cutting machine and a Gemini electric die and embossing machine but I need new plates for my Gemini.. so for now I am just using my hand cranked Sizzix.. Very informative though..

I don't use my Gemini very much, but I did buy the magic mat for it. Still gotta figure out the sandwich

@@EC-R I had the correct plates for embossing and my Gemini broke my embossing folder in half.

Yeah, unfortunately some Gemini machines are too strong & actually need less sandwich items. I won't put an embossing folder through mine anymore. It Warped 2 so bad. The 3d folders are even worse.. I think I use 1 shim

@@EC-R Yes indeed. It warped my plates too. But I still use them but now they are getting harder to use. I need to try the boiling water technique like Jennifer Mcguirre taught us.
