I was having a really tough time trying to figure out what you were doing. I had just watched a video where it took a woman about 10 minutes to install the screen. Your approach to the installation is definitely difficult.

Yeah, he definitely overcomplicated it. Wow.

To avoid headache, here you all go: Step 1: Roll A (the small roll of magnetic tape) goes on first (after you've cleaned the windowframe of course). Measure it out twice, cut it, then peel a little at a time as you stick it OR peel n stick as you go, then cut when you get to the edge. Repeat for all sides. Step 2: Put roll B (the bigger roll of magnetic tape) on top of it, so the wider side is magnetized to roll A and the skinnier side faces you. Measure twice, cut once OR attach and cut at the ends. Repeat for all sides. Step 3: Place mesh on top of this, making sure to leave at least an inch around the perimeter and use the "placeholders" (white rectangles) to keep it there. One on top, one on the left, one on the right. Step 4: Take the white roll (molding strip) and, groove side facing rolls A and B, while bending upward in a U shape, press against the already applied roll B. Remove placeholders as you go, one side at a time. Step 5: Trim excess mesh around perimeter. Step 6: Apply corners. Step 7: Remove the backing to the "wind clips." Lift an upper corner of the screen. Place a "wind clip" where desired (12" maybe? depends on window) by pressing it onto the magnetic strip (roll A). Slide the screen into the groove of "wind clip." Repeat in the same spot on the other side. Step 8: Enjoy. It's only "complicated" because you are, for some bizarre reason, overcomplicating it. The instructions are clear except when it comes to which end of the B roll to face out, which is the only reason I am here. Then again, I could've just spent an extra 30 seconds looking at it all and figured it out myself. I'm not trying to be rude, good sir. I'm trying to help. Hope I haven't come across as harsh.

And PS...I bought 4 of these (rental house has custom windows and missing screens (previous people who lived here were...not nice) so good luck getting the landlord to replace them) plus one of the ones for doors a few months ago. Every single box had instructions. But even if they hadn't, in no universe would I have done it the way you did. Try it again with a new one the way I wrote out and I bet it'll go much smoother 😊

I believe you’re supposed to stick the frame on the window before you attach the mesh.

Just got 3 of these there, under$7 at Menards....glad I didn't pay retail.

$7.85 at Menards today (5/8/24); plus the 11% discount reduces that to just over $7.00.

Love Menards!! Moved to the South (due to aging in-laws) and Menards is one of the things I miss most about home. Picked up 4 of things when we visited home (still have family there) for Christmas for ten bucks a pop 😊

I just bought a similar screen kit for my butterfly habitat, I also bought a magnetic screen door for double protection from flying insects etc! My habitat has two hatches, I am hoping the magnet screens will work, it can get super hot, so hot it might cook my caterpillars and butterflies! Thanks for the video, mine came with instructions, but your video helped me. Thank you 🐛🦋🤗

No directions is insane. Not being very experienced or particularly handy at that kind of stuff I would have given up before I even got started. I don't know why products are coming with no directions but it seems to be happening more frequently. Very frustrating! 💕

Every box of this I bought had instructions...weird...

Yeah mine had directions, but they were so poorly written, and had many grammar errors and typo's Usually I can figure out what they MEANT to say, but this pamphlet made no sense to me

Yes, it's an interesting product and for $30 it could see used for odd-shaped windows and special situations. I have a window with that we keep an AC in during the summer and remove in the fall, This might be useful for the spring since installing the permanent screen is a pain.

If I didn't see this video, I would have thrown away my magic mesh, now I'm going to give it another try at installation.

Caution, the screen looks like very large holes, if you have no-seems, it looks like they would fly through the holes.

Thank u for video. I watched official magic mesh installation vid and it looked way more complicated than I wanted. I was hoping you'd found an easier way. Nope. Guess I won't be buying one.

Walmart had them on clearance a few months ago. The original price was $40. and clearance price was $30. I did buy 2 of them "just in case" because I know replacement windows are super expensive. I didn't know how much a replacement screen was until you said you called someone local. The 2 that I bought are just sitting in my closet collecting dust. They are definitely up there in the top 10 dumbest things I have ever bought. 😂😂. Thanks for the review!!

The rental house we are in doesn't have screens anymore and these are custom windows so good luck getting the landlord to replace them. Picked up some of these for ten bucks a pop (Menards) and couldn't figure out which end of the B roll was supposed to face up, which is why I hopped on here before continuing. Other than that, the directions are "so easy a caveman could do it." As long as these hold up to the wind here, I'll consider it money very well spent.
