One of the traps of looking at card win rates is simplifying a complex problem. Yes, a card can have a decent win rate but this may meaan many things. It can be universally good, but it can also be very good in some decks and not so in others. 17Lands.com users often will intuit it, play that card in good decks and skew the data towards a hight win rate.
Today's episode loooks at each common and uncommon in DSK and tries to see which caard is good where, at least at the color pair level. Hopefully this helps you finding your footing in the format by adding a lot of context to DSK drafts.

I'm so grateful to you for making this detailed breakdown. My win rate has skyrocketed since watching this as I was heavily overvaluing some cards.

Some interesting finds on the side of cards that underperformed to expectation, going to need to let that sink in. Appreciate you giving the "specific builds" caveat, because I do believe there are going to be good homes for most cards.

amazing video, after this i went 7-0 jund delirium, 1-3 WB reanimator (just how bad it is), and 7-2 UW Eerie. Super useful info, tried "lets play a game in the 7-0 deck and it did perform quite well.

The sense I have for UG is that it wants to be relatively aggressive. I think it doesn't actually beat other lategame strategies except by having the initiative in combat. The bounce spells are great because you put the opponent's stuff back and kill them. I think fear of isolation and say it's name stats are underwhelming because they don't fit this aggressive stance particularly well. I think the biggest thing U gives to WB at common is glimmerburst. WB wants to play long grindy games and just drawing more cards is pretty good in long grindy games. The blue landcycler is also a bit better than the white one to reanimate - it's often a lonely creature getting reanimated and a 5/7 vigilance seems a bit better than a 4/5 flier.

Scrabbling skullcrab in multiples in blue white is insanely underrated if you can get them. I got 7 wins with it

Wow how xd a surprise jumpscare in duskmourn! Clockwork percussionist may be good in UR because it’s curve is low. Haunted screen is good for other reasons as well in WB

I'm so surprised Pyroclasm has such bad data. From my experience, when it's cast against me, 99% I lose the game. I also use it a lot, especially in BR. I trophied 3 times out of 4 with BR, there is good support for pyroclasm to always do something there, like Cracked Skull and Sporogenic Infection, also fear of lost of teeth to ping the 3/3s. As long as 3 enemy creatures die, I'm really happy with it. It's amazing with Cursed Recording

Hahaha as someone who has lived in both Australia and England, I definitely find the Aussie ones scarier hahaha, BUT I found there were so many more insects in London during the summer than my place in Sydney. Personally I like spider bros, they eat the bugs that I don't like :)

1:42:55 kinda surprised norin is so low! I had a RW deck where norin was the oil to my etb flicker deck; arabella got her attack trigger for free, Toby, beastie befriender, got to re-enter multiple times for all those 4/4 beast tokens, and enduring innocence loved drawing me card when opponents tried blocking any of them!.... Or maybe Norin was so good in that deck because i had busted cards worth flickering 🤔

Thanks for the great content! I'm curious how much better Enduring Vitality is as P1P1 if built around (valuing life gain effects more, since the effect sticks around if it dies). Also what other cards perform substantially better as build arounds.

Can someone explain to me why Friendly Teddy is such a bad card? I would think since it gives both players a card that it effectively washes out and becomes the same stats as a vanilla 2/2 for 2 mana (and it's colourless which is better than the usual 2/2 for 2 where you need one of your colours to cast it). It's an artifact creature, so better for delirium than a usual 2/2 for 2. While i dont think a 2/2 for 2 is good enough, and i expected it to have bad stats, i guess i didnt expect it to have SUCH bad stats, so im curious as to why, and whether a vanilla 2/2 for 2 would have better or worse stats than it.
