I really love this tech stuff! It's just so expensive, and I understand why. But every time I show my wallet one of these tech tricks, it bursts into tears! Great review, David. I ordered the plastic chop cup and am waiting for its arrival. Take good care, my brother.😊

I’m concerned that thermal paper is too well known to the general audience. (Anyone ever been to CVS with there two mile long thermal print receipts?) A swami/thumb writer gives you an actual written object.

Since the audience cannot see what's written on the small paper they will be looking at the reaction of the volunteer on stage instead. If the volunteer recognizes that it's thermal paper and is confused instead of blown away, that's not good. Thanks for the review!

Pitata sells KILLER products (I own nearly all of them), so I can't wait for delivery of this! Plus, their customer service is superlative, exceeding my already high expectations! You raise a great point David about the paper. I wonder if there are portfolio's or clip pads available--that could be pre-inspected--with a clear window that one could insert the results into?

I‘m so excited to receive mine. Already own the clipboard from last Xmas special sale and did order the pocket watch as as on. Now, this will create miracles. I just wonder if I will ever use my SB Watch again. Haha Further down the road I am so much curious about #TheStranger Integration and coupling it with Evesdrop and Pathways. 🎉 Thanks for the review. You’re blessed to receive those items ahead of time

Hi David, I love this printer. FAX Paper is OK for Lotto , although I can see the fax paper issue. Should be OK for: forgot combination premise - audience gives you numbers - open the case and find the combo pre printed inside the case from the factory with the case warranty, etc. I really like the magic squares... Not much I don't like about it. Nice review.

Hey David! Would you happen to know a good, not too expensive, non tech, writing pad where the spectator can write or draw anything, and I'm able to get a good invisible peek? I'm just asking cause you are THE MAN! If not, then no problem. Keep up the fantastic work, my friend, and take care.😊

How noisy is it, how much does it vibrate? Is the paper available from office supplies, costs? Since it has mechanical moving parts and is small so easily possible to drop, where can I get the unit repaired?
@magicorthodoxy7 ай бұрын
noise is easily covered - especially since you'll probably have it inside another object - dont drop it

I think Joao Miranda came out with something like this right?! Like not exactly a printer, 🖨️ But you can achieve the very same effect, the piece of paper looks completely hand written when the prediction is revealed. 📝 No suspicion in that sense, I think that is a better product considering both are at similar price points, that one gives you much more freedom and looks more realistic!

Hi, are you talking about legacy system?. It is cost 1750 dolars. As you said it looks like hand written and you do not have to cut the paper.

I know nothing about thermal printers. Do you have to change the ink like a regular printer? Is it difficult or expensive to change the ink? How often do you have to use new ink?
@magicorthodoxy7 ай бұрын
according to google: Thermal printers keep costs low as they do not rely on ink to print. No ribbons, cartridges or other supplies need to be replaced to ensure continued use. The media alone is the only supply required to keep the printer running.

The technology from Pitata is amazing and this is no exception. But not for me as an amateur who doesn't do stage work. But it's still incredible. Great review David.

Sorry, I won’t use these items in a real show. They are neat, they can do amazing feats of magic, but…… having some of this company’s items and others, and talking to real performing magicians, these electronic magic props are not dependable. I have experienced it myself, and do have others. They are great for hobbyists, but if you are putting your reputation on the line in front of a large paying audience, stick with the tried and true.

Ciming from an electronic background years ago I was an electronic technical background and from my experience electronic things van wrong when you least expect it. I therfore do not trust electronic props, because at the crucial point they can and do go wrong while your performing and that can leave you wirh egg on your face big time.
