Love ben and his magic but that wooden hand is ridiculous and a waste. If they wanted to include a physical prop to add value there is so many better useful things they could have included.

Have to agree, that turned me off from this when it came out because I already have the exact same articulated wooden hand - it’s not a sculpture, it’s made for artists to learn to draw hands and I got it at my local art supply store for $10.

@@AllenBoudreaux Exactly. I feel like they bought a thousand of them wholesale for $5 each, had the word "Unreal" engraved on the front and thought that was justification for adding another $50 to the price tag. Even the blackops watch is more useful than "the hand "and that was awful. smh.

Ok... I got this, and I've watched avery video. I've been thinkings a lot about what to write here, but I'll do it straight. I didn't know Ben before this project (maybe I should) but he is a Master! Performing, tecnically speaking, croud control, teaching. And this Master takes your hand and takes you from 0 to getting mind blowing reactions. I loved it all! It's a must have for any card magician

Spot on. Loved this so much. Just got the 2nd one on pre-order and the card effects in that are just as impressive. I am so glad I got these and have been performing a lot of the routines a ton these past weeks. Ben Earl is such a great teacher, and performer. Hard hitting and quick-- Just the way I like it.

I bought this thru Kickstarter. It is overwhelming, but watching a master for the entire project is very entertaining. A lot of tricks and theory, you won’t get elsewhere. You got to put in the work. WTF book 📖 included too. Thanks for reviewing David 👍👍

Sounds like a great thing to have with the exception of the hand and the base. I’m sure it factors into the price a great deal. The omission of the hand and base could be filled with more types of decks that we all use to make our effects better

This video series is an example of what such training videos should look like. Ben is a great teacher. It's so easy to understand and he takes the time that a good explanation with details requires. And that's exactly why this course is also suitable for beginners. I started the course at 0 in Card Magic and am still in the basic videos and practicing, practicing, practicing Thanks to Ben's very good explanation, I am very motivated and look forward to each new step that I can start after internalizing the previous one. Is it worth the price? Yes. I'd rather pay 140 for something that will teach me a lot and help me find my way around card magic than 50 for something that I won't use after a short while. But there is also something negative for me, the hand. It's unnecessary and you can get it for 12.99 at Ikea But since I don't know how much cheaper it would be without hand, it's not important to me. I can waste so much money on bad tricks, so it's okay to pay a little more for something that's really good. But fortunately there are competent magicians who protect us from bad purchases with their reviews. 😉 sorry for the bad English, I had some help from a translator 😁😉

Bens approach is the opposite of the modern magic culture. Not rellying on overly technical sleights. But rellying on nuances that shuts down the spectators awareness.

Be nice if there was a download option for the video. Luckily I happen to have an oddity shop so I have some spare hands about. I’m definitely using the idea of using the hands to display some of the magic! We have a small little corner of magic

You can do this, Carl. Include what is workable and appropriate for your style and leave out what you find difficult and come back to it later if you think you could learn it.

This is for intetmediate to advanced card magicians who have the time to invest. To actually absorb an hour tuttorial and practice the sleights is probably in the 3 to 5 hour range for the person watching it. These are very complex sleights. For me, I invest in tricks like Albo 2.0, Blizzard and the Nemesis deck. For beginners in card magic i recommend Born To Perform Card Magic by Oz Pearlman. The DVD is about $30, and no unneccessary wooden hand that i dont want. Thanks for the review though. 👏

I disagree! They are not complex sleights. Well, some (like one hand bottom palm are) but most are just basics (top change, controls, shuffles, cuts, forces). Come on! Difficult for someone that never holded a deck before? Yes! Complex? I don't think so

12 hours of tutorial, for $150 is $12.50 an hour. That's pretty fair. don't you think? Plus the white Tally decks are about $10 a piece

they give a lot of material granted. Probably undervalued. I just think when they include things you don't want it adds to the price unnecessarily. How much more does my phone cost with all that cardboard ? Would my car be cheaper if it didn't have GPS and cameras ? I get that marketing costs money I just don't want to pay for the things that I'm going to throw in the garbage @@magicorthodoxy

If not, would you like me to film anything in particular that you'd like to use foe your channel? Happy to film and send a private unlisted video link to you I live 10 minutes away from The Winter Gardens where the Convention is held so I'm only up the road 😬
