Great review! I had fun combining this one and did that tip. Vortex was the only pain in the big to get in arm form. However Magic Square has the best combiners! Stay Awesome!

Excellent review and I agree that the Vortex shoulder looks so much better put together like in helicopter mode. It has its pain points but like I said previously it's a solid piece once it is combined. I'm hoping we get some Autobot combiners next.

Thank you for that tip on onslaught in combiner mode. I have had Bruticus for almost two months now and I just thought it was a design flaw that my guns keep falling out. No one on youtube that I have watched has done that with Onslaught heel. Now if they can do something about the Bruticus bicep swivel when using Vortex as his arm. It's super loose. Also, Vortex's transformation was super confusing and difficult. I had to look up a few videos to get him transformed correctly. If things don't tab in correctly or are loose, then you probably missed a step. BTW, you forgot to extend Onslaught cannons to make them taller when transformed into Bruticus. Also, it seems your Blast Off isn't completely flushed when combined into Bruticus. Mine had a problem bc the connection still had some plastic that wasn't cut completely out. I had to cut it out to make it fit better. It seems you didn't cut it all out either and the connection could have gone a bit deeper.

I'm glad I waited to see the entire team. I know there's always been some parts-forming for combiners, and some allowance is needed at that scale. But the amount involved with the chest, waist and thighs seems excessive to me. And those tiny, tight tabs scare me - I'd be worried about them breaking through normal usage.

Getting a proper toon look for individual bots and also a combined form takes parts. It just does. I've had no breakage issues with MS tabs in normal usage

The biggest problem I see with a lot of combiners is there’s a lot of partsforming that could lead to lost pieces.

By far one of my most FRUSTRATING figures I've ever bought. A complete nightmare to transform but I also have huge hands so legend scale isn't really my thing. Plus Magic Square makes it far more complicatrd than it needs to be. I ended up SELLING MINE. lol!
