I've used this technique on foam garden pads for your knees from the dollar store. As long as it has a non-textured surface. TFS Tere

I'm so glad you did this video. I bought one of these like 5 years ago, and for the life of me, I couldn't remember how to do it!!! I just came across it the other day stuck in a drawer and shoved it aside again!!!

These are the coolest stamps! I've never even heard of these before, but I definitely want to try them out! I think I've watched almost all of your videos and I have to say you're the funnest person to learn from. You're just so entertaining. By the way, I love your ring!

The dollar store foam works somewhat...but definitely not the same ;-) It's a lot thinner and doesn't hold the shape as well =) Give it a try though...it's fun to play with! TFW

I thought your video was well done! Nothing to apologize for. Good job! I may try to incorporate this into some of my acrylic paintings. Thanks.

Do you have another source for buying them other than ebay? A craft site maybe? I guess I will have to do a search! It looks like it could be incredibly fun!

Do you by any chance live in Thailand? I'm only asking because I live in Bangkok and the coins you use in this video look very similar to Thai baht coinage. If this is the case, I'd love to know where you were able to find Magic Foam in the country, as I can only seem to find the normal craft foam sheets at stores here. BTW, this is a great video and awesome technique. Love your work!

can you use this with acrylic paints instead of inks. I need to make a stamp to make stars on a windows but need them to have good paint coverage and they need to be neat.

Hi - I'm excited to try this! Is that just a regular hair dryer you're using to heat the blocks?

I have the same question several other people have. Does anyone know, can you use a regular hair dryer for this or do you need an embossing heat tool?

I'm betting she lives in Canada, because those are Canadian coins :) The gold ones are loonies($1) and the silver ones with the gold center are toonies($2)
