"There's no fair Magic going on here" as Shota swings in with his Grey Ogre. I know what he meant obviously, the timing was hilarious though.

a lot of that brainstorm resolving through chalice has 2 do with the pace michael reed played the entire game with. he's played extremely fast and crisp, which led takao to forget his trigger. pretty sure another player less versed with storm playing at a slower pace wouldn't have been able to go away with it

Michael reed in game two can target himself with discard and can also fail to find with the extra infernal tutors and has enough mana to do so.

Trying to respond to his fetch with vialing in revoker... so many things wrong with that lol

The commentators clearly misread the situation. Austin Yost had asked Zac Elsik for the wording on Phyrexian Revoker, and Zac showed him the copy from his hand since he had already seen it off of the GItaxian Probe played earlier. Zac then used Vial to bring in Thalia with the fetchland trigger on the stack. Hope this cleared things up.

Austin activated fetch land and it did not trigger anything. Also Vial can be activated at instant speed. Fetch land activation on stack is legit time to activate Vial.

casting brainstorm successfully with chalice on 1 is just bs. He knows he can't but try anyway. Rules should change for that kind of cheat.

It is his responsibility to remember the trigger. You can cast cards through Chalice. Chalice counters spells, it doesn’t stop players from casting cards.

Literally the only "skill" a Mono-R-stompy player has to possess besides when to mulligan is shouting "gets countered!" whenever an opponent casts a spell into their chalice. In my opinion that's not too much to ask...

If you want to play a dirty card like chalice then remember your trigger...not dirty in my opinion.
@phatboi7166 жыл бұрын
Nicolas Hunfan Theres absolutely nothing dirty about casting a Brainstorm into an opposing Chalice on 1. You can still cast 1 cmc spells, the counter trigger just goes on the stack. It increases storm count as well as keeps your opponent honest. If they dont call their trigger its their fault.
@kennethacuna99966 жыл бұрын
you have to know, chalice doesn't read "spells that have cmc of 1 cannot be cast".
