Scourge was my very first intance of playing magic, i bought the goblins deck and learned to play with my brother, i was terrible at it and it didnt helped that my brother had more experience than me playing the game, however there was this one card i remember having, called "Goblin Sledger" which its art i remember was actually quite brutal.

Man, I remember reading the book when I was 18 and thinking to myself "wow, what a stupid story". Many years later, I realize that it was even dumber than I thought. Thank you for bringing the often ridiculous lore of Magic to us in short form.

You kinda skipped over all the weird Mirari mutants that were a thing in Scourge and to a lesser degree Legions despite using art of some of them

I remember not really liking Scourge back when it came out. The art looked so ridiculous to me and the mana costs were crazy (8 mana 1/1 anyone?). However, looking back on it I understand that it was by design: the art is so weird because creatures are taking on huge mutated proportions due to the effects of the mirari. Honestly, I think another set focused on high converted mana costs could be great. Escpecially since magic nowadays is so focused on strong 2 to 4 mana creatures with etbs, the theme of high converted mana costs could be crazy.

It's such a shame this is what happened to the story of onslaught. It was a good book, legion and scourge are terrible.
