I love your style. It’s refreshing to see a guitarist that isn’t overly consumed with technique...btw just ordered that very same guitar. :)

Mort...you have such cool ideas to share on the guitar. You make what seemed so hard to figure out seem so easy and making my playing experience grow by leaps and bounds. You're beautiful man and I am soooo appreciative for all that you share. Bless you!!! 😎👍🏽🎶🔥♥️🔥🎶

I've been watching your videos for 4 years now... and I say to myself if you ever make an album I'll definitely get it. Not sure if your music is out there and if it is I'd love to listen to it. Thanks for the lesson too, but the jamming intro was the best.

Nice one. Guitar is a very slippery/ slidey inst.- all stringed inst's are. To my ear it sounds more fluid used like this. You can also use the two basic m7b5 and m6 shapes. They are inversions Bm7b5 = Dm6.

Hi Morten. New subscriber and really like what I see so thanks for sharing. How are you enjoying that Revstar? I have been thinking about getting one. Is it worth the buy if I want a good guitar with P90s?

Excellent lesson Morten - what backing track software do you use?
@MortenF4 жыл бұрын
Logic.
@petecoates64104 жыл бұрын
Great lessons Morten. Thanks for sharing all this knowledge. I also use logic for backing What logic drummer settings have you found for jazz ? I haven’t found logics drummer that useful for jazz practice. Or do you pull drum tracks in as audio ?

Anyone know what can be used on this rs502 to rid the fingerprints, hate the finish on this guitar. I want the guitar but it absorbs everything that touches it. Thank you.

Hi Morten .. a Little help to’ understand YouR great lesson , about the scales .. in the first chord ( b min 7 5 b) is B locran #9, in the second chord is f melodic minor and in the last the scale is A melodic minor?thamks in avance 😀
@MortenF4 жыл бұрын
Not locrian #9, it's locrian nat9, or I suppose nat2 would be more correct to say. Formula 1 2 b3 4 b5 b6 b7.
@filippomarangoni54024 жыл бұрын
Morten Faerestrand thanks yes i ve said # 9 becouse locrian has the b9 thank you 😊
@GaryDee1194 жыл бұрын
To my ear, regular Locrian sounds much nicer than Locrian natural 9 over the Bm7b5. In fact it seemed like you were leaning on regular Locrian for most of the video over that chord but when you mentioned using the natural 9 I had a really hard time getting my ear used to that. Can you explain why you're seeing LocNat9 as the overlaying scale there?
@MortenF4 жыл бұрын
Sure, both work. nat9 gives just one more variation that is nice to have available.
@GaryDee1194 жыл бұрын
Morten Faerestrand What’s funny is that earlier that natural 9 made no sense to my ear. And just now I was jamming over the track and caught myself using it unintentionally. Like suddenly the use of it clicked in my brain. It’s weird how the ear and brain work like that.

Due to popular demand - No one is selling the Revstar on the used market. This isn't helping. Videos should all have to be done on a strat until after I get one.
