This is the most powerful Torn and Restored card trick that I know, and I’m delighted to be sharing it with you today… It really doesn’t get any better than this; the torn card is placed directly into the open hand of the participant and the magic happens right there - it’s fast, direct with a high impact and it simply can’t be figured out! You’ll need some tools for this one and a few extra cards, get comfy and get ready to let it RIP!

DISCLAIMER: As always, I never claim to be the original inventor or creator of my magic, deceptive methods or sleight-of-hand techniques, I only ever claim to have discovered and developed my magic and performances, in isolation, in an unorthodox manner, away from magic and magicians - a conscious decision made long ago in an attempt to always create, discover and develop original ideas that have not been swayed, misguided, or inadvertently influenced by other artists / creators.
Any likenesses or similarities with the work or creations of other magicians, creators or artists are purely coincidental. I believe that there is nothing new under the sun… When likeminded artists with similar ambitions attempt to achieve all of the wonderful and amazing things that are possible with a deck of playing cards, obviously similarities will occur and similar problem-solving individuals, will inevitably reach the same conclusions and arrive at the same destinations. It then becomes a matter of ‘who came first?’
The chicken, it was the chicken.
Before sharing or publishing my creations and discoveries, I always call upon a few close people who help me research so that if any similarities ever occur, I can correctly acknowledge, credit or remove where appropriate. Should my work, creations or publications share any likenesses that are not acknowledged or credited correctly, there is usually a justified reason, however, I do aim to credit and acknowledge correctly and accordingly so please, let me know if you believe that I have missed or not acknowledged when and where I should have… I am always learning and in my plight to advance the practice and performance of magic as an art, I will always do the right thing and offer thanks, credit and acknowledgments.FANX.

This is, in my opinion, the best place to learn magic, the quality of the videos is amazing, I think that I can't even express how much I'm blown away. So many psychological things that make this great and unique, from the sock Charlie..... Now I understood that I can't express even the slightest how much blown away I am. Daniel just please keep up the good work because I want more and I'm sure that the views will come :)

I personally only do this with a dollar bill. When I read this in your early publications, I immediately fell in love with it. I borrow a bill from the participant, rip it in half, hand them one half and have them continue ripping their half along with me. It gets them super involved and when they recall what happened, they almost always say that I never touched their pieces or their hand. Kudos to you MadDanny.

I thought the same thing with the small circular bandaid. I found that after several minutes the bandaid would easily come off with the magnet due to sweaty palms. I highly suggest using the standard bandaid as you'll have more surface area for it to stay stuck to tour palm

This is the second tutorial of yours that I've watched. :52 later I'm shocked that it's :52 later. I've watched others lay out a tutorial for a trick in :12 and left feeling like it wasn't worth it, it was irritating and too long. This tutorial took :52, almost an hour, of my life and I'm simply pleased that it did. Daniel, it's your passion. Yes. The production value is amazing! The mirror efxs are very enjoyable. Your choice of background music keeps your audience calm and relaxed. Your comedic timing is superb and so naturally "you". But it's your obvious passion for the art, the magic-of-the-moment, the reveal and the spectator reaction that is so real and genuine in you. It's that passion that seems to fuel the "science" portion of any trick, which is the setup, the work. It's easy to see that you love what you do whether you are performing it or revealing it in a tutorial and it's so rare and refreshing. You're not a gimmicky "knob". You, sir, are a most talented, Real Deal.

He's back with the awesome! Can I suggest, as someone who builds wargame miniatures, that you hide a bigger magnet (or three or four of your current ones) under the plaster? You won't even need to do the tap contact and everything will leap up. It's a balance between clean up and mind games.

Side note. You have quickly become one of my favorite creators. I love seeing other magicians handlings , creations of any effect especially classics like TNR. I started magic at 4 and continue as a hobbyist today (age 37) and I’m very picky about the creators I follow because I’m “old school” meaning I grew up on vernon , bobo elmsley , erdnase as the content I followed and learned from (like so many of us) and seeing KZbin “exposure” gets to me when its “magicians” like “Sean’s does magic” and you can tell her learns an effect from Ellusionist or KZbin or somewhere and then immediately goes on his Chanel and claims it as his own or exposes it depending on the Quality. I’m telling you al of this to let you know I just found you today on KZbin (as a suggestion) and along with Jay sankey , Luke Jermay you are on of my favorite creators and I enjoy your sense of humor along with your clear talent and love for magic. It’s refreshing.

This is probably the best "flash" restoration of a playing card I've seen. What I like about it is that it happens in the participant's hand (which is always an ingredient for strong magic) and it is as simple, organic and direct as you can get. I think I like the full presentation that includes the tearing procedure because I personally think it's stronger to have the participant see the card being torn (and actually help tear it) than it is to approach them with the card already torn. But that's just me... :) I've always liked T/R but I don't ever actually perform any (maybe the ones I know all seem too finicky at one point or another). RIP might just change that, so all I can say is simply FANX!

You could also slip the magnet under the gauze on the bandaid. You may also be able to drop some red ink on the bandaid to sell it should anyone ask. It means you could peel the bandaid back without exposing the magnet, and engage more social compliance with the presence of 'blood' on the bandaid. Awesome tutorial!!

wow great idea danny will have to work on trying to do that one in a live performance. seems like it could cause seizures. i thought you were doing camera tricks at the first and was convinced it was camera trickery and you were leading us down some dirty little click bait hole, then to find out its magnets! that click when the magnets come together needs a little softening but great effect. in their hands restore! What! that is real magic from the point of the participant. i am always striving to bring the magic to their hands not mine making them the magicians and me surprises so that line about trying to do something i failed at earlier is a great. yet again you dropped us pearls of wisdom.
