"Magic" Update: Curved Walls are Finally Here!

"Magic", our biggest update yet, is LIVE right now! This update features the long-awaited curved/diagonal walls, as well as rotated/raised rooms, 600+ new assets, a beautiful Fey Biome and so much more.

This is great, I wanted curved walls for as long as I've been using your program. I'm going have to go back and rework some maps I made. I had some maps planned and was less enthusiastic about making them because I wanted round combat arenas, arenas are typically circular. I hope to see more great stuff added in the future.

This is so awesome! I use the software to provide my party with some epic 3D visualisation every week. I do hope that your Z axis is the first step towards actual multi-story buildings though, because that would be an absolute game changer! Keep it up.

I dont know if it is just me, but is there any way to add straight walls coming off the curved wall? I am making a giant circle entrance area to my dungeon with hallways coming off it, but the hallways wont go flush onto the curves.

30€ ain't cheap, but the software looks pretty good. Looking to buy it when it will be possible to make multiple floors, I'm just a bit scared that at some point updates will become paid expansions. That's my only concern 🤔

All the remaining stretch goal updates (5 Major updates) from our Kickstarter will be free updates afterwards we will leave early access. At which point QOL, and patches will continue to be free but due to demand from our community to expand past the Fantasy theme. We plan to offer optional paid expansions with different themes or aesthetics such as sci fi, cyberpunk etc. You will not be required to purchase these as Dungeon Alchemist will be a fully developed standalone release perfect for fantasy themed maps.

AboveVTT is an unofficial extension of DnD Beyond. Dungeon Alchemist provides export files designed for AboveVTT. Personally I want to keep Alchemist as an independent app with deals allowing exporting to all the VTTs.

Ok so, this made me want to re-purchase Dungeon Alchemist. I've bought it previously but refunded within 2 hours due to lack of curved walls or height placement without tinkering, major deal breaker at the time, even though visually & usage wise the software was promising. Keeping it this time around & fingers crossed we get multi-level added eventually, if not, this is still pretty good for my use case! Keep up the good work, you're doing great & it's awesome you're listening to your customers' wishes!

@@DungeonAlchemist Nice changes giving more options/versatility and quality of life overall. Sometimes I feel I need to take a step back and realize it's still early access and doesn't have thousands of (3rd party) assets. Also limitations breed creativity, as they say. :) Using DA in conjunction with other assets/programs as supplementary map creation where needed for now, looking forward to see what the future holds 'cause it's looking bright! Will need to gauge what my players like/prefer, overall they like how nice it can look, haven't been able to run a game yet, however.

@sylva_c137 Have you checked out the Steam Workshop tab in the top menu? From there, you can access a repository of nearly 9,000 maps and over 4,500 3rd party assets. There's also an asset importer. Between the stock assets, 3rd party assets, and the option to import 3d models directly into DA. You have infinite possibilities.
