Vanishing verse absolutely is too narrow to be your only removal, but when complimented by other removal options it is super strong.

Nah. When I saw Vanishing Verse spoiled, I discussed it with cedh Sisay players and Modern Esper Control players, and pretty much unanimously it was agreed that the card was very playable. You'll rarely go up against a deck where it has no targets (Modern Tron is just about the only deck I can think of) and when complemented by other forms of removal you should have pretty good answers to most threats.

I really can't wait till pioneer hits arena. I, personally, wouldn't go 5 colors but bending these instant speed decks over would make me lift up tables with no hands ;) Otherwise, really amazing video. That was a hell of a lot of content and crazy good record to boot at the end. Abrupt decay didn't look like it was pulling it's weight, oddly enough. Anguished unmaking might be better in more circumstances.

Pioneer idea: Torrential Gearhulk + Maga Opus. Opus can send itself to the graveyard for the Gearhulk. Would take very little effort to slot into a control deck. Randomly getting a fatty caster and doing all the things at instant speed sounds very sexy.

I used to play a ton of MTGO. Took a long break, then at some point decided to check it out again and bought a single draft, kept winning and went infinite and eventually had a stack of about 80 tix. Then I took another long break and checked out MTG Arena around the time of Niv-Mizzet Reborn. I thought the card was so cool and remembered my stack of 80 tix and went on MTGO and traded them for a stack of Mizzets, as many as I could get which was quite a lot. I still have them and thought it was a sunk cost, and seems they actually increased in value, so I’m gonna jump online and see if I can sell them soon (provided I even remember my password). Or maybe I should hold..? :D

I’ve got a spicy standard deck idea Lumimancer cancer Symmetry mage can make lumimancers base power 2 Lion guy isn’t a human Brazen Boi isn’t a human Paulo is a human Whatever that two drop that makes flyers cheaper isn’t a human So you got exactly enough diversity to play of one mind for one mana which is a light up the stage for standard. Fight as one as well for value. Cantrips and counterspells and you got the derpiest fucking aggro combo deck ever. Note I’m awful at deck building but the idea might not be awful in your grimy mitts

Not sure if u use magic aids on arena, if so good game. I was playing the boros aggro deck that got stuck on 4 lands. What's ur thoughts on strixhaven draft. I feel the mystical archive cards were a mistake as I lost to a few decks that felt like constructed. Last opponent had approach, faithless looting and thrill of possibility.
