When the Tabla starts .... it seems a KING has entered in his courtroom ...everybody now pay your attentions to His Majesty.... Absolutely Calm, Confident, He knows what He is doing , what He would do, how He will unfold his majesty gradually and spellbound people ....not a slightest hint of any tension anywhere... And 7.16 onwards.... it's like the feathers are flying over Dayan (Bayan of Him) .... soft, tender, joyful playful romance between Hand and Tabla .... Ahhhh !!!! Its even soothes one's mind and soul to watch such thing....

his index finger is the most flexible i have ever seen. normally people lift the entire fingers to play the bol "na" this of course comes with endless sessions of practice. Awesome!

Well no. Actually this is the rule of tabla that when you play at a relatively fast tempo you have to keep your hand in the air, strike and lift the hand imidietly. Besides the player can deliver more energy and force to the strike. I won't bore you with the physics on why this happens just know that the players use this for advantage.

Howsoever great the player may be, table solo is bound to be boring after 15/20 minutes except that of only one yes only one-----Pandit Kumar Bose. Mere speed is not enough, infinite designs, huge creativity and life into his table has made him enjoyable for hours to make him the greatest Table Nawaz in the world..
