I had the same question. I'm sure I would ruin it if I used anything involving water! I'm messy!

It will if you use too much water :) I don’t mind a little bleed through here and there as I can usually cover it. I just make sure I use as little water as possible and don’t “work” the colour into the area too much with the brush and it’s usually fine :)
