The intent of this video is to hopefully show you my workflow and what I've learned in Magicavoxel.

I've watched this so many times and I still don't understand how you're getting the textures on the floor and cabinets that you made. Like I can tell it's by using different colours but that's it.

Hey so I used a shader plugin I found on github for magicavoxel. This is the link to the page: github.com/lachlanmcdonald/magicavoxel-shaders/wiki It has all kinds of time-saving tools including the "brick" shader I used to create the textures for the cabinets and flooring! :) May make a video tutorial on this because it is a bit confusing to use at first.

@@Simon-xl1yz unfortunately, the original video of this came out to being 4 hours long with no commentary. That's why it was a timelapse lol I do want to make a unedited video of me, start-to-finish, making a room or something in magicavoxel sometime in the future.

Yo how did you do that flooring at 1:00 I understand that you used the command thing while selecting the floor but what does that code mean "xs bx 7 1 1 201" Nvm just read the other replies form the guy that commented before Thanks

Hello! I downloaded Shader after reading your comment. Thank you very much! But I have a question. I succeeded in running a brick brush in the program, but even if I hit the box, select the voxel, and enter the command, a brick is created inside the box separated by a white line, which is, in the form of a box. I just want to lay this shader thin on the floor, not make a big box of bricks. Do you happen to know how to solve this? The command I entered--xs bricks 1 12 2 1 0 129 136 1.0 xs brush/bricks [Direction] [Width] [Height] [Depth] [Offset] [Color A] [Color B] [Threshold] I followed this form.

Yes i see the problem. Not entirely sure why it does that. My method follows as suit and i suggest you copy that. xs bx 1 1 3 121 126

@@ArtChanny97 Hi, ArtChanny... the thing is ... nothing happened to my MagicaVoxel Version 0.99.6... I especially created a new empty project trying this command out. could you help? I wanna see at least a brick is created by command. it would be very useful to create such a similar random color mix material look. Now I lose the confidence in putting the words right, hope you can understand.

@@smbdcry did you by chance already download the shaders from lachlanmcdonald ? github.com/lachlanmcdonald/magicavoxel-shaders Also try it on a pallete that has colors on it first such as pallete 1 (the default colors you get when you first open magicavoxel) and then use the command. Its possible that it worked but the colors are the same so you can't tell. In the folder where magicavoxel is stored, check shaders, if nothing is there, you need to download the shaders using the link above!

Great art! Question, what hotkeys did you use at 0:30 and 1:20 to easily duplicate and auto select each new painted line? Gratz again

yes, most voxel art software lets you export .obj assets, compatible with most game engines

Estoy explorando la creación de equipamiento voxelizado, como sombreros y otros accesorios, en MagicaVoxel. Para lograr variedad y detalle, he estado considerando la posibilidad de crear estas piezas en archivos separados, por ejemplo, un sombrero en un archivo y el resto del personaje en otro. Sin embargo, me preocupa que al exportar estas partes por separado, pueda perder la posición y la alineación adecuada entre las partes. Mi objetivo es lograr que el equipamiento encaje de manera coherente en el modelo sin problemas. ¿Alguno de ustedes ha intentado algo similar? ¿Hay alguna manera de combinar estas partes en un solo objeto dentro de MagicaVoxel antes de exportar, manteniendo sus posiciones relativas? Agradecería mucho cualquier consejo sobre cómo abordar este enfoque y mantener la coherencia entre las partes.
