This is a classic case of "Gorey British pichwada me laal mirchi ki effect". This is largely a British (plus to a far lesser extent some other EU countries) phenomenon. I live in the US (Indian origin, of course): I haven't come across any white American who's butt hurt about India's moon landing. Most of them were genuinely happy for India. The simple reality is jealousy: UK has not been able to launch a potato so it hurts them a lot that a country they reflexively consider as inferior advance so much in science and technology.

Firstly UK should return $45 Trillion to India first. Else India should ship 54 million rats to UK shores to make them experience the colonization hatred that we have against them even today even if their ansectors are dead now.
