Everybody remembers all the bad beats that they suffer when playing games but I am here to acknowledge the good beats. I don't think it's possible for me to draw better than the way that I did in this set as I drew my lands, bombs, and removal at the perfect time.

The internet is so weird. These days, I have breakfast with Paul almost everyday. I don't even know Paul lol. I'd love to see other content as such as cube, as I'm getting back in the magic after a very long hiatus. I love the way that you cover the cards and the reasons why you draft them because it becomes educational for me. I started playing with alpha and played for around 6 or 7 years. I'm just getting back into it now and as you can imagine, there is so much that I'm learning. Your videos make things a little less daunting.

It's kind of a long comment, but bare with me. I haven't played since 2001, but last wednesday my friend convinced me to play commander. I had never played commander and always standard back in 2001, so I decided to buy the Fallout precon for Dogmeat (this is what sold me because fallout is one of my fav games of all time). I did enjoy the deck as well as commander, but standard has always been my speed. The next day, we drafted Duskmourn at a local shop. It was SOOOO FUN! That friday I went and drafted twice more. I lost every draft, but wanted to get better because it was so fun. That weekend i downloaded Arena and found your channel. Since watching you play and listening to your explanation, I WENT 7 AND 2 ON ARENA! DUDE! You made this game so much more fun to me and gave me real information as a new player and it paid off. I won an entire draft on Arena and it blew my mind how good the blue/black deck you showed me was. Anyways. Thanks bro! Subbed to your channel!

Sadly the MTGO vintage cubes don't tend to do as well as anything I make on Arena. I think Luis has a monopoly on all MTGO content. I could consider it though!

I must be terrible at drafting and playing as I hate this set. I went 0-3,0-3,1-3,0-3 in my last four drafts. I deleted my account, so I can just watch and enjoy Paul winning instead of getting frustrated with losing all the time.

I dislike 4 colors with a bunch of manifest in my deck as it really stresses the limits of my mana as I would like 2 basics of each type for splashes. If I didn't have the Niko I definitely would have splashed the black.

A little mix up would be nice. I feel like duskmourn is deep but also pretty straightforward. Seems solved to me. You really just follow the open channels, most color combos are totally viable.

Hey Paul, mythics give 40 gems while rares give 20. Uncommon give .3% vault progress where as commons give .1%

I know this might seem as weird comment considering your result in the draft but i feel you were in the wrong secondary color. You started with a few fine blue cards and got cut off blue super hard early in pack 1. Pack 2 you didn't get any signals for blue either and pack 3 was completely dry too. Black however seemed quite open and you could have ended up with 3 spinners. One of the main reasons this draft went so well, besides you being an amazing player, was the fact that you opened amazing bombs in pack 2+3 in your colors. How do you decide during a draft that the powerlevel of the cards you have sre worth sticking to the colors you have even though they are clearly not open?

I had far too many solid blue cards early to abandon them. There are times to be flexible and make pivots when necessary but sometimes you just have to stick with what you have and make the most of the situation you're in. If my blue cards were weaker, I would have considered the pivot but I can't reasonably predict what I'm going to get in pack 2. Presumably blue should have been open there but just a bit unfortunate as the person I was passing to likely opened a great blue card. Also, if I didn't open a Niko (which was not in my colors btw), I likely would have ended up with some kind of sultai midrange deck splashing black and taking the broodspinners.
