Hey Paul, just want to let you know i reached mythic for the first time today - currently sitting at #500. Ive seen myself improving since watching you videos back in Murders and i think you’re a big reason as to why I was able to reach this rank 🙌🏻 thank you so much for the great content

I was looking at the 17lands leaderboards. 74.8% winrate??? You’ve been on a tear in this format. The way the mythic ranking system works seems broken. The current rank 1 has so many games! Even though they have a lower win rate, rank seems to be based on accumulating some kind of points per win, and the rank 1 player has over 100 wins more than 2nd place. Hope you get to take that coveted #1 spot in a future season.

thats the luckiest draft i have ever watched. the cards passed on the draft, the perfect mana in almost every game (and never a screw), the bad luck on the opponents, and the insane topdecks. just outrageous. good video and good deckbuilding in your favor tho.

No discredit to your ability to play magic well… But did you sacrifice a goat or something before this set came out? Your good fortune seems extraordinary.
@haumph7 ай бұрын
Just one goat?!?
@brianh58447 ай бұрын
LOL. I think Paul's right, I don't know if a goat would account for this kind of sorcery. I'm thinking some kind of deal with the devil. Is he cutting drafts? Are there 0-3's and 1-3's happening behind the scenes, or is he just running crazy hot? (not to take away from his ability to capitalize on his good fortune, but definitely seems like the pretty positive end of variance)
@drewforsyth19937 ай бұрын
At 37:50 you play Brawler into 4 open mana. The same open mana he had the last turn. The last turn, the LAST TURN! you were like, "I'll just play to the board and force him to use removal on those creatures." That was the better play. Why? Oh, why? would you move off of that play?
@TimmayKC7 ай бұрын
I feel like every time I draft, my p1 never goes as well as your p1. At the end of p1, you already have a nice skeleton for what your deck is going to be lol.

@17:45 : Vehicles are at their "best" in aggro decks (Lots of creatures to crew it ; Play a creature, tap it, attack), homestead has a neutral (0.0) IWD on 17lands in RG ; Only 2 2drops and a salvo... So a lot of the time it would have been the only turn 2 available. With a ton of turn 3s to crew it... I would have played it I think ? Instead of Bandit's Haul ? Mine Raider are trash, but make some sense in this deck ? Also, homestead works well with annie. You're sure about the no homestead ?

Maximum greed again with the 3 color special, love it! Why no consideration for the 2nd desert P3P3? Seems like your deck needed the fixing over the removal, or not?
@haumph7 ай бұрын
There's a fine balance between the two and it's not always correct to take fixing. Good removal is absolutely a must to have success in this format so I generally prioritize it over just about anything else.
