I got a kidney stone when i was in high school, on a choir field trip to an elementary school... I was only 16! Pain started while I was singing, and got progressively worse so much so that I had a friend digging their fist into my back for me. When we arrived back at campus, my friends walked me to the nurse's office. I was in so much pain I was incoherent, and i remember rolling back and forth on the little cot in the nurse's office. I was picked up onto one of those gurneys and moved to an ambulance where i threw up my breakfast from the pain. It was all blue (blueberries) and scared the EMT's which is the only funny part of the memory. I won't go into too much detail but they (EMTs AND hospital staff) put an insane amount of drugs into a very small body for me to finally stop rocking back and forth in pain. I don't remember much after except for refusing a catheter cause i was high as a fucking kite. I often wonder if that's where the real drug problems began cause Jesus Christ, man i was 5'3'' and unhealthy weight. I was already drinking and using at that age (and got the kidney stone from getting alcohol poisoning the first time i drank) Sorry for the rambling nature of this. Eyes barely open gn gang. Edit: 7 years sober now

I’m so proud of you for making it 7 years!! I’m currently 16 in choir and I might be kicked out of in person school due to my addictions. I had a kidney stone at age 17 and even though I’m only 18 I can say that it was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life. I couldn’t even sit up or walk without being in excruciating pain. (imagine you have to fart but have to hold it for 5 years before you can let it go) I was throwing up because of the pain and even started shaking and felt my body getting cold. It’s somehow the worst pain of your life yet you’re in and out of the hospital in 24 hrs if that (if it passes naturally). A little degrading ngl having one of the most miserable experiences known to man and then it passes and the doctors are like “ok leave.” Like how do I just continue living life having experienced a kidney stone. Anyways stay hydrated 🤞
@bw64868 ай бұрын
Had a kidney stone during the peak of covid, went to urgent care (in canada) and was turned away because I had a fever (wtf is the point of urgent care if u can't go in sick) Never felt pain so bad, I was super dilusional and went home and passed out. The pain from then on was something I can't describe, I had unknowingly spent 3 days in my room delusional from the pain. I have no idea how that much time passed. I then get a knock on my door from my friend who came to check in because he thought I died. He rushed me to the hospital where they used an ultrasound thing to pulverize the kidney stone. Spent the next day in the hospital getting fluids and other tests. After everything I ended up with some damage to my kidneys, along with a partial intestinal blockage because of the 3 days spent on the floor in delirium. So yea, survived a kidney stone for 5 days with no medications at all. Hopefully will be the worst pain of my life
