I found the film wonderful. One of the first British film that focused on the desire of women over the age of 55 being worthy of attention. Most British/American film focus on the aged and withered older woman, but this had a European flavour that showed the beauty of a women throughout the ageing process. Darryl is a great actor and will go far, he was gorgeous, and calm on screen. The film showed that older women are sensual and worthy of pleasure. I loved the film it was 5*

@@cherylcash8476 - I feel the same. He has such an interestingly disarming presence, one which is unusual in young actors. He doesn't appear to be relying on artifice to garner approval and listens, not just to respond, but to really hear what's being communicated. It would have been nice to have him contribute more to the discussion, if only, as you commented, to learn more about him as a person, not just the actor in relation to playing opposite to Emma Thompson.

I personally would’ve liked to hear more from Darryl. He’s seems a very interesting person but fielded very few questions. Emma Thompson even kind of hinted at it at one point that the whole interview seemed to be centered on her.

We never see women over 60 either naked or making love in movies. The world sees beauty only in young women and making love or being naked is suitable only to the young ones based on all the movies we see, but this movie is giving hope to all women out there who are 50 plus who are being treated as OLD LADY WITH LESS BEAUTY. We feel old and less beautiful because of the looks and the messages we get constantly from the media, the people around us....and we start losing our self esteem but movies like this can help people understand that we are still alive and we still want to live our life fully.

I started a Hulu account mainly to watch this movie. The promo pulled me in. I have watched it 7 times now which is completely unusual for me. There are only a handful of classics I have watched more than once. I am such a critic of acting so I feel the cast and crew deserve any of the awards they may receive for this one.

I don’t say this lightly but this a masterpiece. The acting is supreme. Watching them express the depths of the human experience is amazing. Emma Thompson is brilliant and then more. Fun interview, I liked that she asked different questions. Loved this movie so much! Loved the performances by Emma and Daryl. Daryl is gorgeous but really brings a performance of generosity and real chemistry with Emma, which frankly doesn't always happen. Just can't wait to see what he does next! I will be watching! I thought it was hilarious that when Daryl says he doesn't like bad breath each of them subtly pulls away from each other so they're not breathing near each other! So funny! Also I know a 50 some year-old woman who has never had an orgasm even by herself so this idea is not out in left field. Thank you Katy Brand, Sophie Hyde, Emma and Daryl for this beautiful film! I would love to see all of you get Academy Award noms! Would be well-deserved!

I agree with the Academy Award noms FOR ALL. And any idea that Daryl being the youngest and least experienced would be no excuse for no nomination. I watched the movie three times, and never ONCE saw a misstep on his part. He stepped into his character, and never left until the credits were run. Seldom see such a perfect performance. He let you know Leo, and made you like him. Love him.
