@@djalexander968, what is great is she does not talk a whole lot to the rest of the crowd. Often people discuss him to others and that can be annoying. Wouldn't you rather have a friend who says they're learning just like you to be kind, and if he does act up the next words she might say could be "we all have bad days and I do as well." I know one time an autistic kid in his 20s hit me in the movie theatre as soon as it got dark. I figured after years of him not doing this and now living with other disabled people maybe another disabled person took his hot dog in the dark so he was figuring attack me ahead of time to avoid such a thing happening again. But the next day I was with him, I told him that I forgive him and that I have bad days too as we walked around a big pond (one lap is a mile) and usually we do this before dinner and a movie. He started running sideways next to me with one hand on my back and one hand on my belly smiling a big smile that I would tell him that hit to my face was in the past and forgiven. We all want people to talk to us straight. When he was 15 his big thing was trying to grab women's breasts. I'd tell him quiet hands and stop all that nonsense, though he did grab two old ladies breasts in plaid shirts as my guard was down after all the young ladies at the mall. Anyway, one day I put my arm around him and said, "You are a great friend! Maybe a little crazy about the girls but still a great friend." You never heard a 15 year old laugh so hard. The next teen girls wearing spaghetti straps after that line saw a young boy their age hold both hands folded tight together and he yelled out as loud as possible "QUIET HANDS!" I just laughed and laughed and said, "yeah! a little crazy about the girls." He just laughed so loud for that to be said again right after seeing the girls. We all want moments in our life we'll remember.

Thomas is indeed a special guest because he has to wear sound protection headphones because he doesn’t feel comfortable with hearing loud sounds such as crowds, roller coasters, loudspeakers playing music or announcements. My 9 year old daughter is the same way when she was born deaf, she couldn’t hear the world around her but in 2021 she had a medical treatment to fix her hearing loss & now she can hear everything and certain sounds make her feel pain & discomfort in her ears so she wears special sound muffling headphones design just to lower the volume of loud sounds around her so that she can feel comfortable hearing things and being around a huge crowd of strangers. She still holds my hands because she doesn’t want to get lost in the huge crowd and lose her headphones by mistake. 😇🙏
