One of my favourite fights in this amazing game (my first souls-like experience, might I add. Yes, I’m dying a lot…). To just avoid the necessities of the fight to anyone who hasn’t played the game yet: The build up is glorious, the cutscene before the fight is GLORIOUS (Aw clawntraire is an amazing track from this game as well), and also kinda lore-heavy with how I see it, and the fight itself? One of the best fights I’ve experienced in all of gaming. This music is significantly just the icing on the cake. The hour and a half or 2 hours I spent learning this boss was well-spent, and made me love this game more.

She was frankly one of- if not *the* easiest boss in the game for me. While I took a couple tries to defeat her, I ended up doing quite well at keeping my range and spamming her with bubbles. Once it was time to actually face her head on? She was not aggressive enough to put up much of a fight. I will agree that she had an amazing build-up and opening. I could tell something was up with the past few bosses, but it was her opening monologue that made me realize what the message of the game was. The VA's selling of the lines only added on to it all.

@@bleetzblitz Heikea was probably the hardest boss in the game imo, or at least tied with Pagarus and the Bleached King. After Topoda, you can get strong enough to steamroll most fights in only a couple attempts.

The decision to make so many of the boss tracks trap beats was a stroke of genius It adds its own mood and clearly separates the game from its predecessors musically and into the modern era, matching with the game's mood and referential humor

I have to say, this has to be one of my favorite boss fights in any of the games i have ever played, music perfectly captures the theme, it makes you feel stressed, overwhelmed, but if you really listen to this song, it's incredibly well composed and every single sound plays into it, not to mention the music that plays right before this fight, as Magista is talking, is so amazing as well, it makes you feel hopeless, and it really just truly displays how horrifyingly incredible this game's music design and story is, with the gunk itself spreading rapidly throughout the ocean, and you, the player, getting to witness the effects it has on ones minds, and how chilling seeing one lose their sanity, and even their will to live as the gunk takes over their minds. Something else ive noticed is that the gunk seems to make the infected think that everything is worthless, and nothing they do can stop the inevitable, which, is likely their death. I like to see it as how the ending to the game seems as well. (spoilers for the ending.) The ending starts with the same documentary-like clip that we see in the opening- keep in mind that Kril never stopped the pollution, or the gunking of more crabs, which was likely to happen anyways due to the trash covering New Carcinia. The Gunk conveys a feeling of hopelessness, just as how pollution all over the world feels right now. Like no matter what we, as a society, try and do, that everything will be worthless in the end, and we will be the downfall of our own kind, just as Magista vaguely explains in her dialouge before the fight. That's just how I see it, though.

Qinning this fight really was making me realize that certain fights are better fought by beong hyper aggressive. Picking that tea cup shell and going berserk.dodging when necessary made it so fun. Still one of my favorite bosses so far.(better than stoopid carbonara enjoyer crab grr.)
