Good review mate. I prefer the older bags and especially the ones with pockets for ease of use and carrying. I'm a big magma fan and have all of their 45s bags and they have been fantastic as I also travel to play.

Coming from UDG cases (which are highly recommendable btw) for my records, my first Magma case was a Ctrl case for my Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 controller. Which ended up as a perfect outdoor case for my MPC Live 2 as well, with the folding cover doubling up as a sunscreen. Last year I got the Magma Solid Blaze 120 (also reviewed on this channel) which is an excellent equipment bag (for carrying an MPC, MPK miniplus controller, and a laptop) but also quite heavy because of all the compartments. In general, I found Magma to be a recommendable brand (but again., so is UDG).

I still have the old school Shure bag for 12 inch an couple of different hard shell rolling cases with handle etc

It seems like Magma is the only manufacturer making 45 bags. I know it's extremely niche, but I wish there were other options out there.

Hmmm. It does seem a shame it doesn’t fully detach, so you can lose half of it under the booth. Perhaps boxes would benefit from the 50/50 design @swanflight / @udg
